It is hard to believe that fall is here. Even if we are still swimming . I hear that it should be cooling down soon. I will believe it when I feel it.
Lane asks every day if Halloween is tomorrow. Nope, not quite yet. They both change what costume they want to be on a daily basis. Due to that I will be going to Party City 4 days before October 31st. Not too close to the Halloween Eve crowd but close enough to where they still have things in stock. Then they can choose if they want to be Spiderman or Batman or the Green Lantern... or a ninja or a skeloton. Pretty sure Rusty will choose what Lane picks. That seems to be the common trend at our home right now.
I thought it would be fun to have a special Halloween after school snack. It was hard to choose which spooky donut they wanted so I solved the problem. One dozen, please! I liked the pumpkin spice donut the best. I would know because I tried all 4 of the seasonal specials. And when I say "tried" I don't mean one bit. Like more than half of the darn thing. The jack-o-lantern glaze came in a close second.
I never have anything cute outside of my front door so I made this wreath. It didn't turn out exactly how I pictured but oh well. It will only be out there for 2 months anyway.

Your wreath is way cute, and the donuts looked super yummy :)
Yay! You posted! Let's keep that up! :)
That was so unfair to show a big box of Krispy Kreme's to a girl that doesn't have access! Yummers. I probably would have "tasted" them all too. Can't resist fried dough with frosting!
I laughed about the helping kids decorate or help in the kitchen. You know people that say they love doing that?!! No way jose. I will let Collin occasionally but it drives me CRAZY. I told him he could help me decorate for Halloween, then I just ended up yelling at him for 1/2 hour while I tried to do it. Cute tree!! Maybe I'll take your idea and let Collin do that to ours.
Love the wreath! I'm going to try a black burlap one that Mallory... from Classy Clutter did. Cheap and cute!
I personally liked all the paper homemade decorations they put up on the tree as well :) It added a nice Lane and Rusty touch. I loved your wreath it's very cute and different from what everyone else typically has!
I actually fell bad because before reading this my kids were begging to put up Halloween decorations... but I told them no. Actually I let one of them put a plastic pumpkin outside the front door. Does that count? :)
Darling ideas. I had no idea krispykreme had seasonal donuts! what the heck? pumpkin spice donut. YUMMMMMM
I wasn't aware the krispy kreme had seasonal donuts either. I have to admit, cooking with the kids does stress me out at times, but it's fun too. Usually it's cookies so of course it'll make a mess. I'm not gonna lie, they don't usually help put decor out.
