2013 Christmas Cards

Merry Christmas to ALL!!!!!!

mom, have you sent this out yet?:)

Thanksgiving weekend

We spent Thanksgiving day at the Goodman's.
We stuffed our faces with the delicious choices of a
traditional Thanksgiving menu or Mexican food!
Lindi enjoyed her first Thanksgiving meal thanks to Uncle Benny.
Ham and rolls are much tastier than a bottle and baby food!

Breanna took our family pictures.
I love how they turned out!!

The following day we went to see Frozen!
It was a great movie, so I heard.
Lindi and I enjoyed it out in the halls.
I think we missed our window of opportunity of taking babies to the movies with them
snoozing in their car seats.

After the movie I met up with my sister's and mom to spend the weekend in Scottsdale!
Travis was a gem and put the whole thing together for Stephanie who invited us to come with her.
We ate dinner at La Grande Orange.
It was all of our first times there.
It is was good, but we don't know what the huge hype is all about.
Our favorite was the chips and dips appetizer!!!

Then of course shopping at Scottsdale Mall on black Friday.

I was the picture problem child that night:/ :)

 and then, drum roll please.....
A nights stay at the Fairmont Princess resort.
Oo la la, it was fancy and awesome!!
Hot tubing that night and laying out by the pool the next morning.
I just wish I could have truly relaxed without having a
combined YW lesson I was supposed to teach the following
 day looming over my head.

And then upon our arrival home we played at the park for a couple of hours and ate Tia Rosas.

It was a wonderful turkey weekend!!!

Went to Gallup

Back in November we made a little road to NM to visit the
 Evans' and their new house!
They seem to like to move lots:)
Which is fine with us because it gives us an excuse to leave town!
Stephanie has a love for a good bean burrito.
They don't have any legit Mexican food restaurants
besides Taco Bell and that really doesn't count.
Since Gallup is only 4 hours away we packed an ice chest,
filled up with Tia Rosas bean burritos (and beef burritos for the men)
and headed up the mountain!
Our dinner that night was sure yummy!

The following day Travis was nice to take us to his dental office and
clean the boys teeth. Of course Lane is our cavity kid and needed 2 fillings.
And nope, he isn't high on laughing gas yet!

Steph gave me a laugh with this picture.
Either she was really grossed out by Lanes teeth or deathly bored!

My no holes kid.
Thumbs up is right!!!

In between cleanings and fillings Travis got a set of braces put on!
While he was busy doing that we had a picnic at the park.
It was a beautiful day outside.
I think we were there 3 hours.

We loved smooching on Olive while we were there.
I can't wait until they can run around and play together.
Which Olive might beat Lindi to the punch.

We only stayed for 3 days but not pictured was our morning work out sesh with Shaun T after the local zumba was canceled. Meeting their friends Bron and Megan and eating yummy steaks off the grill. Getting introduced to green chili sour cream dip...holy amaze balls. And a lovely morning at church! We left thinking, Gallup ain't so bad! But then again we don't live there:)

Birthday, birthday coming to earth day....

...pink and wrinkled and small.
Any Scripture Scout fans out there?
I thought it was appropriate since these 2 boys of mine
LOVE Scripture Scouts and they BOTH had a birthday not that long ago!

First was Lanes.
Yes folks, he turned 7.
I get a pit in my stomach every time I think about it.
No longer a baby, toddler or a little boy.
He is a full blown kid!!!
A kid that will be in 2nd grade AND be getting baptized next year!
Like hitting the years where he will remember events at this age as a grown up. Yikes!

I am a scrooge and despise throwing birthday parties.
It gives me hives thinking about it.
So it was an off year. No big party.
He could have cared less.
All he cared about was getting sung to in Primary and choosing where to eat.
Which he made sure the restaurant sang happy birthday.
Ha! So not his character to be put on the spot light!
He must be growing up.

We for sure knew Mi Amigos would provide a great choir.
Ole!

Plus you get sopapillas and get to the wear the community birthday sombrero and a chance at lice:)

He couldn't for the life of him tell us what he wanted for his birthday.
He had no clue (we are screwed for Christmas).
So we took him to Walmart where he decided on this rock climbing remote control car.
It is pretty awesome and he loves it...still...3 weeks later!:)

A week later Rusty boy got his big day!
4. Unbelievable.
It was my turn to host play group for the week so last minute I decided to
throw in some games and call it birthday party.
Might as well if they were all going to be at my house anyway.
The night before I cut out some construction paper circles and voila,
pin the nose on Mickey Mouse!
The funny thing was, they didn't quite get how to play it.
They all got mad that their noses weren't dead center Mickey's face!
That solitified my dislike for parties.
You do all this work and all they want to do is play with toys!

Next we colored and decorated party hats and had a cupcake.

His actual birthday was on Sunday so he was pleased as could be to go to
Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner and have birthday cake!

Fall in a nut shell

Schnepf Farms with my family!
In my opinion, overpriced and over crowded.
I was scratching my eyes out for the next 2
days from the dust cloud that loomed over the farm.
The common quote for the night was:
(insert pitiful cough) I think I have the black lung, Pop.
BUT, the kids loved it!

You can never get a picture with everybody looking.

The spooky train ride had a wait longer than splash mountain during peak season so we hopped on the hay ride which had a zero line. We even stayed on and rode it twice in a row.

This was around the 10th picture of trying to get one with all of their eyes open.
Lindi was apparently done and  flashed me the peace sign.

Then she gave me thumbs up for a good attempt.

We carved pumpkins for the first time ever.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
It was Lindi's first Halloween. She looked darling in her authentic mu mu
straight from Hawaii that aunt Marcie brought back from her honeymoon.
I borrowed my moms mu mu that she has had for 20 years and Casey got a rockin aloha shirt from Goodwill!
The boys recycled costumes from past years so it was a pretty cheap dress up year for us. Score!!!

We went to Papa and Grammy's to see cousins and eat yummy hamburger's and hot dog's they hand out to trick or treaters every year.

and then to Grandma and Grandpas house.
Their neighbors always have a fun Halloween carnival going on.
It's always a night where they go to bed at 10 and hopped up on sugar.
Thank goodness next year it lands on a Friday!
