It happened.
She turned one.
I never saw it coming.
It seems impossible.
But to make it better it's nice knowing she
is now the cutest one year old on the earth!:)
Her birthday was on Wednesday.
And even better that we were on spring break!
We went to Walmart early that morning.
Like still wearing our pj's early.
Our cupboards were BARE.
And Lindi needed a birthday donut.
Because you can't have a birthday without donuts for breakfast.
It's a good thing she doesn't know what good donuts taste like yet.
Because Walmart donuts are the lowest on the donut food chain.
Bleh.
She would have chowed down the whole thing if I let her.
The sugar must have made her crash because she then enjoyed a 3 hour birthday nap!
I almost had to wake her up so we could get going on her party to the zoo!
It was $20 more to sign up for a zoo membership.
So glad I did because with it we got free tickets to the sting ray exhibit and
free camel rides!
I text Casey this picture and he replied, isn't she a little dressed up for the zoo?
You can never be too dressed up on your birthday!!
Wasn't aware of the Amish in AZ
We hurried home so we could get ready for people to come over.
I took it real easy and picked up a dozen cupcakes from the Sweet Tooth Fairy.
She pounded that cupcake. Gone.
That's my girl.
She had lots of people come wish her a happy birthday.
Grandpa:
Grandma, David and Craig missed out on the pictures I guess.
She was so nice to share with Papa
Grammy
And Marcie!
To say she is loved is an understatement.
Here is a little recap of her first year of life:
-2 days after coming home from the hospital she had to go back in for jaundice.
-2 weeks after that Casey and I had to call 911 in the middle of the night because she was choking on
some mucus and started turning blue.
-She got to go to a cabin in Showlow with her Goodman cousins for her first vacation.
-She was 5 months old when she got to go to the beach for her first time.
-She was 5 months old when she got to go to the beach for her first time.
-She started sitting up on her own at 6 months.
-Didn't learn how to roll over till 9 months old ( can you tell she was spoiled and was always being held?)
- Learned to crawl at 10 months
-LOVES her bottles and food. Can pound blueberries and strawberries like nobodies business.
-Has a love/hate relationships with animals.
Birds freak her out. I must have passed that down to her.
-Only has her 2 bottom teeth but the top 2 are coming in. And she ain't likin' it.
-Has the highest pitched scream that you can hear a continent away when you don't feed her fast enough.
- has rocked the biggest bows to mankind. And will actually keep them on her head pretty good.
We thank our lucky stars for this Lindi Lou of ours.
And here's to hoping her 2nd year doesn't go by as fast as her first!
