WE GOT A NEW SHOWER!!!!!!!!!!
Can you tell I am pretty exciting about it?:)
I hated our master shower ever since we bought our house 7.5 years ago.
*Hated is an understatement.
It was a shower tub.
I severely dislike shower tubs.
The finish was all worn off so even after you scrubbed for an hour,
it still never looked clean.
One of the sliding glass doors broke so we could only open one end.
The only thing it was good for was to drape our clothes over the top
that couldn't go in the dryer to air dry.
We contemplated seriously for years if we should gut it out.
We don't know how long we will be living in this house
and didn't want to spend the money if we decided to move soon.
The faucet started leaking so we decided to pull the trigger.
Here is the before:
The day of the demo was probably one of the happiest days ever!
Jake our friend is the one who did the work for us.
When he pulled up I literally screamed with excitement and wanted to give him a bear hug.
Here he is telling his crew what the game plan was.
Of course these guys didn't know a lick of English.
And here it is all gutted out!
It took about a week and a half for it all to be installed.
Which means a week in a half Casey and I slept on the couches
because our bed and room was covered in plastic and dust.
And a week and a half I had random men in and out of my house.
And a week and a half I got to listen to the Spanish station on Pandora
blasting from our bathroom.
Here is a progress picture.
I had to leave for girls camp before it was all done.
But when I returned I couldn't believe my eyes.
Here are the after pictures:
I love, love, LOVE IT!!!
It couldn't have turned out more perfect.
Casey was sure busy while I was gone.
He made sure that everything was done for my arrival.
Including making sure the house was clean and all put back together.
I had the privilege of taking the first shower:)
I love how it's a walk in and there is no glass door I have to worry about keeping clean.
We were worried about there being a draft but we have not had any issues so far.
It feels a whole lot bigger than the nasty shower tub.
Its my new sanctuary! I already was known for taking long showers.
Now I take really long showers!
And its Lindi's new playing grounds:)
