End of the school YEAR

Me and my side kick waiting for the Kindergarten field trip buses
at the zoo. It's been a tradition with who ever is the youngest.
We go early and do some sight seeing then meet up with the Kinders.
Lucky Della gets me as a parent volunteer when she is in Kindergarten since
she is the last one!

Colby's mom keeping me updated since she was the lucky parent volunteer:)

Della thought she was such a big girl.

Lanes last band concert.

As well as Mr. Higgins. He is retiring.
He is a Franklin icon. Been teaching since I attended that school.

Oh, gotta love the Spring Sing!
Fifty nifty United States...

They presented Mr. Higgins with a guitar signed by all the students.
I was fairly emotional for the man! He really was an amazing teacher. You could tell by the talent of his students. For elementary students, they performed at a much higher level at every concert. On the last day of school, I was walking with the kids out to the car. As we passed the music room, he was outside leaning on the door. Watching the hustle and bustle of excited kids ready for Summer.   Soaking in the very last memories of being a band teacher. SO MANY HOURS at that school. I couldn't help but wonder his feelings and what was going through his mind. I'm glad I had sunglasses on, I was crying for him!

Amber and Anna had a school dance recital.
Some of their biggest fans came to see them shake their groove thangs:)

This is what happens when you don't stay on a reading schedule. You check out 20 library books and cram to make the deadline that's in 3 days.  Lindi needed to read 100 books in order to earn a medal. She just HAD to get that medal!

Mission accomplished. Barely.

Parent tumbling show off's with miss Rachel.

I was in charge of Lindi's end of the year school party.
It was nice because there were only 12 kids in her class that year!!
They had 2 games they rotated between. Ate some snacks.

I did a cute photo booth set up for the end. I brought my speakers and had fun music playing.
It was a hit! The kids and teachers loved it.

Don't you just love getting a text from a parent, that's of your child getting an award that you didn't even know about. Ugh!

Last day of school breakfast!

Last elementary bus ride for Lane.
He was pretty excited to have a pizza/swim party with all of the 6th graders.

Kindergarten sing. Cue the tears!

Mrs. Stradling is hands down the BEST Kindergarten teacher.
I know every parent says that, but its true!
I am crossing all of my fingers and toes she will not retire before Della gets to
Kindergarten.

We ran over to Rusty's class and caught the tail end of the their 3rd grade class huddle.
Mrs. Greaves was also an amazing teacher.

She would write positive notes on her students desk at the beginning of every week.
It's the little things like that that make you appreciate teachers who go above and beyond!

On our way to pick up our now Junior High Laners. We had just passed Mr. Higgins. Pretty sure I was wiping tears while taking this picture at this point. I was just in elementary school. The same one, to be exact. With some of the same TEACHERS!! How am I the parent of a child who just completed 6th grade at said school?!!
 Life can be so surreal.

Some of his buddy's that he saw everyday for the past 6 years. He was so lucky to have a great group of friends to pal around with. Little did he know, Konnor would move to UT the next month. They were slated to go to the same Jr. High.

It was a busier than normal last day of school because Craig graduated High School! Talk about nostalgia hitting you hard. Sitting in the bleachers at Mesa High, your old stomping grounds. I was a senior in High school when Craig was born. Dang I'm old, lol!

And speaking of laughing, when Stephanie walked up I about lost it.
I was way underdressed!

No need to worry, she had me covered with an extra set of bunny ears!!

Now THAT's how you get leid!
