Cruise day 7 & 8

Sailing days back to Florida!

Belly flop competition.

Casey and I took a tour of the massive kitchens!
It's a whole other world behind the scenes.
We were put into groups of about 10.
It was a miracle I could decode our tour guides thick Turkish
accent well enough to understand that:
5,000 pounds of potatoes are consumed each day, as well as 15,000 pounds of beef,
20,000 pounds of chicken, and 10,000 dozens of eggs per seven-day cruise.
From chefs to dishwashers, a team of 1,850 people keeps passengers fed.

A tiny portion of the meat

It wound around on 2 different levels and without the guide, I would have been so lost!
It's mind blowing how they have it all down to an art.

This was the bakery.
I can't remember how many rolls, loaves of bread and what not they produce a day.
But by the consumption of the other foods I stated, it was a lot!
They make it all from scratch, except hamburger buns, I think.
The smell was fabulous when we hit the bakery.
Thousands of rolls baking all at once can sure hit your nose in a good way:)

Our tour guide.
It ended with a fancy brunch buffet.
I thought the kitchen tour was super interesting and glad we paid extra to do it!

So much water!
Hi Arial!

Eating at the buffet.
I was surprised at how good it was.

Ha, I looked up to see a mummy.
Stephen did not want to get sunburned on the last day!

Our last dinner.
Sniff, sniff.

Steak makes him happy:)

After we had our normal dessert, we were each surprised with this cake!
I felt bad because it was so cute and
 obviously took time to make.
Yet we were so full at this point most of them got wasted!

All the waiters came out and sung and danced around the tables.
"Sweet Caroline, oh oh oh"

Cell phone lights out and waving

Eric our waiter was AMAZING!
He was so nice and patient with our group, especially with the kids.
And funny!!!
Terrible pictures of him.

Then off to Grease!

The adults went dancing afterwards.
It was Michael Jackson night.

Somehow I never got pictures of other nights
where the adults went hot tubing or
when we played card games.
Or when we would sit at the piano bar and chat.
I'm sure I'm forgetting more.
It's hard to say what the highlight of the trip was.
There wasn't a second we weren't enjoying ourselves!
