Temple Trip

With news of the Salt Lake City temple closing
for 5 years for renovations, we decided
to make a quick trip with just the 2 of us!
I have only been to a sealing, so this was exciting for the both of us!

We flew up around noon on a Friday.
Checked into our most favorite hotel, Little America and
quickly changed to make the 2:30 session.

When we got to the temple, we went in by the main visitors center.
We wandered for a sec, then realized we had no idea where to even enter!
After asking, we sure felt like tourists, lol!

The session was lovely!
I hear the live acting is going away, so I'm grateful we got
to experience it at least once.

Can't wait to go back and see it's new beauty in 5 years.

No temple attendance is complete without some Mexican food afterwards.
Pretty sure Casey knew to just drive me to the Red Iguana.
Hands down some of my favorite Mexican food.

Then I knew our car would take us directly to Nielsens for dessert.
We called Christopher, who had no idea we were in UT, to meet us.
It was a fun surprise.

I'm starting to realize my pictures of this trip our 80/20 food to adventure.
What can I say, UT has some of my favorite eating places!

We slept in then ate lunch at Cubby's!
I dream about their sweet potato fries and cinnamon glaze.

Then off to Snowbird.
We were going for the alpine slides.
However, Oktoberfest was an added bonus!
Nothing like beers and bosoms to top off a temple trip, lol!

Then you guessed it, headed back to Salt Lake for MORE food.
Christopher recommended Moochie's.
It's a cheesesteak place.
And it was GOOD.
Had to take a pile of our napkins as proof.

We decided to let our food settle at a movie, Peanut Butter Falcon.

The spoken Word for church.

Then what do you know, the last supper before getting on our plane home.
Casey wanted to try something new.
We googled brunch places and chose Sweet Lake Limeade based off reviews.
The reviews were RIGHT!
I'm not going to be able to balance all of these amazing food places.
Our list keeps getting longer!
