Lets Get to the Good Stuff

April was a grand time!

It kept us busy and entertained with all of the things.

Casey was offered last minute Dbacks tickets right behind home plate. 

How do you turn down an offer like that?

Lane wouldn't be home in time, so Rusty got to invite some friends to go with them. 

It was my turn to feed Lanes baseball team dinner before their away game.

The stunned looked of the teenager at the register 

when I ordered 23 double doubles was epic!

The season is starting to wind down and that always

makes me feel melancholy. 

Only one more year and then this chapter of life for him will be over!

Our friend Ashley was in town from Utah which called for a girls night!

Smoothie King sure knows how to market well by

teaming up with Dude Perfect!

The kids were BEGGING to get the DP smoothie.

Never any peace even while going to the bathroom!

She couldn't wait 1 minute for me to sign her homework.

The YW did a babysitting night and Della was loving every second of it.

Spring cleaning must be a thing.

Out of the blue I did some change-y rearrange-y of the bedrooms!

Bye, bye toy room!

The girls switched over to the other side of the house.
  Their old room is now a big storage room.

Which sounds boring.

But with us bursting at the seams, its a big deal

for me to have more room to store things and be more organized. 

Rusty was a huge help!

He was my main man to take apart the old furniture and

assemble the new ones!

It was the best having him see the box in the entry way and

without asking start putting it together.

He did 2 big dressers, the girls beds,  and 2 storage racks.

He's a keeper!!

I was sad to paint over the turquoise walls.

They love not having bunk beds anymore!

And it felt SO good to purge every closet.

Moving and change can be good for this reason alone!

We had a solar eclipse!

Which is funny because I swear we had one a few months ago.

Everyone keeps saying how rare they are.

About 30 minutes before the peak of the eclipse happened, a friend in our

text group mentioned that they had glasses at Circle K for $3!

Meh, why not?!

I hopped in the car and secured me a pair and went to watch in the backyard.

It was pretty neat!

Then my family text group started chiming in with their opinions.

The best was my text back to Casey when he said I better not have bought a pair of glasses

because it was pointless (in his opinion). 

Hehehe. 

It really was worth the drive and $3!!

A reminder of the things I make for dinner that EVERY human in the house

liked!

Very rare occasion, eye roll.

This is white chili chicken bean dip.

I am not the biggest fan of the OG soup version.

But this was money!

Stephanie and Travis invited us to see the comedian Nate Bargatze!
I had seen a few of his bits on Instagram.

He is hilarious! 

Bonus, they were filming this show to put on Netflix!

It was so hard to not look straight at the cameras
when they flew right in front of your face

Casey and I went to a Shakespeare performance one of his Priests was in.

Most of it went right over our heads, but we were super impressed with 

how much the kids in the play had to memorize!!

Holy, it would have taken me 5 years to remember everything they did!

Of course I chuckled and told Travis
he needs to step up his marketing game.

Lane got answered from Libby to Prom!

Marcie discovered she had a litter of kittens born behind her shed from

the promiscuous neighborhood cat!

These animal lovers BEGGED to go see them on the way home from school.

 

Kim and Wendy were moving so we had another girls night to bid farewell to them.

Casey and I were invited to a work dinner by Jeff Rogers.

This year it was at a Hawaiian luau venue.
 I didn't even know we had such a place close by.

I loved to see Casey squirm when they told all the men to go up for the Haka dance!

You can definitely tell who was into it, and who wasn't, lol!

 

Girlfriend was digging these long nails the neighbor girl put on her.

I sure loved the back scratch she gave me with them:) 

I needed to be somewhere a little nicer than normal, and I had sopping wet hair.

Solution, stick your head out the car window!

My hair dried lickity split!

The girls had their last dance competition.

More on that later.

We had a big Udall family reunion!

I guess that last one they had was 20 years ago.

People flew in from out of town, and I didn't know about half of the group.

Aunt MaryAnne did a big family tree lesson/ancestor lesson.

I actually missed this part.

But we did do the temple session the night before and came for the second half

of the reunion. 

I love that my parents throw their own birthday "party"... lunch,

and invite us all to join them!

And then so kindly pay for it all.

They get we have our own busy lives and never expect us to do anything for them. 

It's a miracle everyone could make it!

 This is rare as life is cray cray!

We took Grammy out to dinner for her birthday!

 Funny how they all of birthdays within 3 weeks of each other. 

I found all of Lanes stained glass creations from
 school while cleaning out closets.

That stinker likes to hide things and not have attention on him. 

I love his creative brain.

My personal favorite is the bear from the CA state flag that

you see all over name brand shirts. 

Our last child to have their baptism preview!

Her primary teacher, Sis Christensen is the best!

We kicked off Summer with Cone and Go at Bishops house!

I think we get more people each time.

We officially need 2 big boxes of ice cream cones!

They literally come by the car full!

We LOVE IT!!!!

We have a steady flow of people like this for a solid 2 hours.
