A Day in San Antonio!

We took a day trip into San Antonio!
SO much to see, not very much time to do.

First stop was the temple.
I hung out with the littles while the others did baptisms.

I was impressed with the beautiful stained glass.

The kids went wild over the squirrels climbing all up and down the trees.
It almost didn't feel like we were in Texas with the lush trees and succulent plants.

Haha, figuring out the self timer is always a joy!

We leaned on google reviews and chose Crepeccino for lunch.
YUMM!
Always trust the 5 stars.

My first croffle did not disappoint!

After watching Pee Wee's Big Adventure my whole life, I can
finally check mark off the Alamo on my bucket list!!

And there is indeed, no basement in the Alamo:)

How did I not realize this is where Davy Crockett was killed?!
You learn something new every day!

It surprised me how "trippy" it was to be there in person.
You could feel the history and oldness of this place.

Once again, I didn't realize how big of a revolution it was.

The gift shop is always a hit!

Behind the Alamo church was a big museum full of artifacts.

Davy Crockett's vest

Had to get a picture of a real Texas Ranger!
I was surprised at how much security there was.

Don't mess with the Alamo!

After the Alamo we walked downtown to the Riverwalk!

Along the way I saw a KILWANS!!
I don't think I said a word, except maybe blurting out KILWANS!

I jumped in line with zero complaining from everyone else about the detour!

Toasted coconut cone hits the spot.

A boat ride along the Riverwalk was a must,
even though it was scorching!

It was very cool how they built a huge mall, restaurants and hotels
around the water.

They filmed a part of Miss Congeniality on this stage!

The mall is behind us.

The Texas heat is brutal.
Way different than our dry heat.

It must have sucked the energy right out of them.

They couldn't put on their swimsuits fast enough when we got back to the trailers.

The pool at the trailer park was top notch!!

They swam and swam and SWAM!

The boys bounced back and forth between sports and swimming.
