Family Camping 2009

We have finally reached our vacation portion of the summer! Before all the real traveling begins, we escaped up to the mountains for a relaxing 3 days of camping with NO HEAT. There were about 60 of us crazy Lindbloms up there "roughing it" this year. If you were to drive by our campsite you would definitely get a good laugh out of our bright yellow port-a-potties, 10 parked suburbans, 20 pitched tents, 4 pregnant women and 30 + mangy dirty wild kids running around. We are the true meaning of REAL camping... only we eat and snack like kings all the day long!

My favorite saying of the trip:

Mom- (on the drive up) is this the road we are suppose to turn on?
Craig- ya, I remember that puddle from last year.

I love this family tradition and we look forward to it every summer!

To The Best Farters Ever!

Oops, I mean- To The Best Fathers Ever! Thanks Christopher, I will never live that one down!

What can I say except that I am so grateful for Casey and the wonderful father and hubby that he is! Lane adores his dad and I can't say I don't blame him:)

I am also grateful for my own dad and father in law. They both do so much for our little family.

These men truly are the BEST!

Also this past week, we got a little dose of what having 3 kids is like. Jill my cousin asked us to watch her 2 kids, Hadyn and Jack, while her and her husband went to Lake Powell. It was good for Lane to be around other children 24/7 for six days straight and we had a lot of fun getting to know those 2 better! I'm not so sure I am ready to crank 2 more out any time soon but when I do I definitely know what to expect!

These Are Our SUMMER Days!

Swim lessons

wearing the same pair of basketball shorts with a miss matched
t-shirt, everyday of the week! No joke, we are going on day 6 I believe. Sadly, I am part of this too.

Relaxing
ICE CREAM

and more ICE CREAM!

Like father like son I tell ya! About 3 minutes after getting our ice cream, I could hear both of their spoons scraping the bottom of their cups when I had not even made it half way with my very small shake!

Ode to CALI

Dear San Clemente,

I miss you so much already. Thanks to the wonderful Coffey family, I was able to enjoy your presence. Liz, Andrea, Ashley & Melinda showed me all that there is to offer of your amazingness. I truly soaked in all the fun that you had there for us to do. Your cool 67- 72 degree weather, morning walks, the beach, shopping, lots of hot chocolate, roasting mallows on the beach, loaded questions/phase ten, Samantha:), movie nights, pedicures , your wild animals on the streets & yummy food will most be remembered.
(I'm so making a sign with this saying on it for my bathroom!)

I hope to return to you again someday!
