R.I.P. T-Bone Chalupa

.
Yee-haw, nothing like a good ol' roundup to make for a fun Saturday activity! My parents invited us over for their wards BBQ this past weekend. What started this whole get together was that the priests had been raising a cow in one of their leaders backyard. Well it got nice and fat so that very same morning it got a nice bonk on the head and needless to say we had a yummy, very organic meal!

I love LaRee! If you ever need someone to laugh with, she is your girl! Also I think ribs should be my middle name. By far my most favorite meat EVER... can you tell?!

They had fun games like catch the greased pig, tug of war, an egg toss. They also had a petting zoo. I really hope that the people who brought their animals for this went home with alive pets or at least survived the night from being mauled by the kiddos. Seriously, the baby chicks that were yellow turned a nice shade of brown! Lane was one who contributed to the near possible deaths. He loves animals but we do not have pets so he gets overly excited... you get the picture. He loved it and for the last 30 minutes all he did was chase around the chickens.

If it weren't for the smell, dirt, waking up early to feed animals, I could have lived on a farm. Ok probably not but it's fun to pretend sometimes:)

Ok, I hate animals, getting dirty, and smelling like "outside", but that seriously looked fun!! I'm all for it, if it's just for a night and I get to go home and shower. You and your ribs. It really should be your second name. When mom emailed this invite out about T-Bone, I laughed so hard. I'm sure he'll go straight to celestial heaven for sacrificing himself for a ward party. I'm sad I missed it!

That is without a doubt the coolest ward party I've ever heard of.
