Home Improvements

These home improvements were done a while back. A year while back. I am filtering out my pictures saved on my computer so I figured I better post them.

One our favorite things to do as husband and wife is house projects. Once we finish something my favorite saying is "we are not doing or adding anything for a long time!" Famous last words. It's not like our house is even that big. It totals almost 1500 sq feet. 4 years later we can still manage to come up with something to spruce it up. Heaven help us whenever we have a bigger home!

I wanted, needed something above the windows that line the side of the house. Didn't want curtains, would take up some of the natural light I hardly have as it is. I am a sucker for moulding so Casey got busy.

Loved the outcome. Would do a few things differently next time though. I like to call this house the guinea pig, trial and error house:)

The counter tops were pretty bad in the kitchen

Granite you may ask? On the contraire! We wanted granite but were too cheap to fork out the dough. Especially since this is not our forever home. We found this product online that you paint over your existing counter top that resembles granite. 65 dollars later and 2 days of work (due to drying time for the paint) we had new counter tops!

Oops, these got out of order

Not fancy by any means but suits our little abode quite nicely.

To end, a precious moment I walked into the other day. They really do love each other.

Your house is so cute! I can't believe that stuff you painted on the countertops...it looks awesome. I have never heard of anything like that. Lincoln & I are the same way with home improvements. We loved finding any improvement we could make to our 800 sq ft townhouse!

I LOVE all of your moulding. I can't wait til Bryant gets the desire to do some work for me around this house (that we might have to be in forever)! In due time I suppose! I think his biggest issue is that I keep changing my mind!! haha! Great job to both of you though!! And your boys are so stinkin cute!

What a difference the moulding made!! I like curtains, but think the moulding is a nice modern touch. IT's probably been yrs since I've seen your house and it's adorable!! I love the way you decorate and it's been frustrating here in Pittsburgh because the houses are so old and no room in the kitchen for decor. I can't wait to go back to Az to houses that have plant shelves and places to put stuff. I wish Adam and I were on the same page for decor and did house projects together, that has to be so fun for you to just brainstorm and make it happen.

I should have known you'd have the cutest decorated house ever. I just can't seem to make things come together for me! And now I've got this new house and a clean slate and I'm having a hard time getting going. Thanks for some inspiration!

I'm not even secretly jealous that you and your husband do projects on your house together. It all looks amazing. I LOVE the counter tops. You are quite the domestic DIY goddess, and Casey is quite the man. Sigh. You rock.
