Kids That Rip

.
I heard that Desert Devils gym has a skate park inside and that they have skate board lessons for kids. I thought Lane would be in heaven so I gave them a call to get details.

I asked the lady on the phone how much. "Oh it is only $80 for one hour a week  per month".  Gulp. What?! "We do offer a free trial run so bring him down anytime". Free, now you are talking my language!

I signed him up for Friday night but made the mistake of telling him Thursday morning. Is it time for my skate board lessons mom? Mom, it's 5 o'clock lets go to my skate board school!

He was a little bit nervous at the beginning but clearly got over his anxiety after 3 minutes!
.

Casey and I figured they would just do basic things like learn where to put your feet, how to turn around, stuff like that. Well they did for 10 minutes then moved on to bigger and better things...ramps and a half pipe! Haha Casey and I were dying! He was eating up every second.

After the hour was over a sweaty and happy boy was returned to us. Oh wait, he was happy until we told him it was time to go and that it was not just a drink break.

While we were watching, Casey and I were giving each other the looks and comments of  crap, we are going to have to sign him up now. He is loving it!  We decided that we wouldn't sign him that day but wait to see if he would talk it all up and keep asking about skate board school... then we would take the plunge. 80 stinkin dollars! I have been justifying it with that we don't pay for preschool which we normally would be and that we would only do it for one month.

Skate or die. That is what this boy has been all about lately.

My nephew works there, Joes sisters kid. If you go back, look for a skinny guy with curly (usually pretty messy) hair. His name is Austin. That sounds like a blast for kids. Lane looked so cute with all his padding and stuff!

Oh boy following in David's footsteps... I have been waiting for this post since Friday!!! He looks so grown up and cute in all his gear. I love how whenever he is wearing a skate shirt he insists that he needs to skateboard.. because he's wearing the shirt of course!

Solution!: have grandma buy him the helmet, pads, etc. and then have uncle david take him to the skate park to give lessons. heh heh, that must be heaven for lane!

I'm with Christopher! I was thinking all along that David would be just the guy for this... but he probably wouldn't be patient enough with a 4 year old for a whole hour. He should look into a job there though. Go Lane. Skate or die!

So CUTE! It's been awesome doing my annual check up of your blog. I can't believe what a BIG boy Lane is now! He's adorable, just like his parents. And I say spring for the skateboard school. Then you can spend the rest of your life regretting raising a skater boy ;) Okay, they're not all that bad...

Randon begs every other hour to get on the computer and look at Lane's skateboard school pictures. So this morning at breakfast it was no surprise when he asked AGAIN and I said ok! Well he's discovered that it has music now too (my computer is normally on mute). oh geez this kid turned the volume all the way up and then asked to see video of Lane. So I told him I would send you a message requesting video at his next day of school ;)

Yes the boys need to get together and ride bikes but like you said let's hope they don't crash into each other (I won't hold my breath on that one)!!

Ok Randon wants back to Lane pics!

Seriously? The kid is 4 and he can skateboard and ride a bike without training wheels. I think I'm already impressed. It's so stinkin cute though. My valentine decor is still non existent, so I need something to add so I think I'll use that cute banner you have.
It seriously looks like you girls have so much fun when you all get together. I'm not going to lie, I'm a little jealous. Don't get me wrong, my fam was awesome when we came in but us girls don't usually go shopping together which I think would be da bomb.
