I have been horrible about going to visit Grandmother.
I hate when too much time goes by from the last visit.
I coordinated with aunt Marcia to pick Grandmother up and bring her to our
house for lunch.
When we arrived she had her purse on her shoulder and was ready to bust outta there, lol!
First we let the kids gather eggs from the chicken coop and then I needed a quick lesson on the
portable oxygen tank.
Umm.
I decided I would get her back home before I needed to switch out the tank!
I am no nurse, and I did not want to blow anything up.
There were too many warning signs on that thing!
Or hook it up wrong and nothing would come out.
(actually, I'm sure Grandmother would thank me for that:)
We were finally ready to go!
She sure doesn't pack light.
Her purse was chalk full, she had a book in one hand and of course
she INSISTED that she carried the bag with her spare tank of oxygen on her other shoulder!
This was going to be an adventure!!
We decided to pick up IN-N-OUT Burger from the drive-thru and take it back to
my house.
She has never seen our house so she was excited to come over and check it out.
We gave her a quick tour then ate our burgers!
Afterwards, we enjoyed a nice visit and Lindi enjoyed showing Grandmother all
of our photo books.
2 hours flew by and you could tell she was ready to head back home.
It really was fun having her over!
Serving in YW's was honestly my favorite church calling to date.
I had THE best group of girls.
Casey was put in the bishopric so I knew a release was coming up.
After mutual I took them to FIIZ.
It had just opened and I thought it would be a fun last hooray, and also a way to tell them thank you
for being amazing and teaching me so much while serving them.
Backing up to Lanes "Halloween costume".
Lane was in a splint for a week because I ran over his foot with my car.
Yes, you heard me right.
Not one of my proud mom moments.
It was super traumatic.
We were on our way to the bus stop.
You know how the crazy morning routine goes.
I was half way down the street when Lane said he needed to go to the bathroom.
Ugh, seriously?
Why could you have not gone before you hopped in the car?
I asked if he could hold it until he got to school. He said no.
It was one of those days where I had a million things to do and
everything needed to be timed perfectly.
If he missed the bus then I would have to take him to school and it would put me behind.
I flipped a U-turn and raced back to the house and opened the garage door.
I was about half way in the garage when I told him to hop out and hurry!
This is where things get blurry.
I thought he had done just what I told him to do, hop out of the car and run inside.
I guess he did not.
I started rummaging through my purse and slowly inching my way further into the
garage because the sun was hitting on me and I couldn't see.
All of a sudden I heard a loud scream that I had never heard before.
I turned to see Lanes face with a horrified look on it.
I said what is wrong??!
Then he yelled that the car was on his foot!
I instantly went numb and in panic mode, not knowing if I should go forward or reverse back?
I think I reversed and once the car was off of his foot he started jumping up and down,
SCREAMING at the top of his lungs.
Oh, and also yelling "you did it on purpose!!"
AGH!
I had never felt so horrible in all my life!
Some how we all got inside and were able to calm down.
I carefully took off his shoe expecting to see crushed bones.
I could see TIRE MARKS on his foot!
I started freaking out even more on the inside.
When he was sitting down he wasn't in pain.
But when he tried to put pressure on it he would instantly sob!
I knew he needed an X-ray.
I called my mom to see if she could come over to watch the kids and the second she
said hello I lost it!
All she heard was Lane and ran over.
She got to my house in 2 minutes!
I called Casey to tell him what had happened and that I was on my way to Urgent Care.
He told me to call a family friend who is a podiatrist.
Duh, I totally forgot.
Of course the nice guy that he is told us to come down right away.
After an X-ray and examination, nothing was wrong!
No broken bones, torn ligaments, NOTHING was damaged!
I couldn't believe it.
I honestly thought I would be scheduling a surgery date.
He wanted to splint it just to make sure he had a good week of recovery and also keep him
off of it.
I have never been so grateful in all my life!!
It is hard to see but there was tread marks where his foot got ran over:/

Dr. Coffey getting him all fixed up
He did really good with the crutches.
Even trick or treated all night with them!
I am so glad that is behind us!
Marcie and Austin had a birthday party to go to one weekend.
We got a sitter for our kids but took Scarlett with us to Cheesecake Factory, lol!
She really wanted some of that cheesecake!
This little stinker learned how to climb out of her crib!
She has been wandering into our bed around 3am.
I usually do not tolerate kids in my bed but how can I resist this sweet
snuggler?!
Abbey went through the temple for the first time!
An impromptu brunch at Ihop while waiting for the car at the car wash!
I told them to eat a lemon.
Hehe
This is my dear friend Sheri from church.
We served in Mia Maids together.
All three of their children are adopted.
This is at the Phoenix temple after they were sealed to their youngest daughter, Ana.
Their story is incredible!
She and her husband Steve are amazing and I am grateful for our friendship.
We had a quadruple date night with my sibs at Top Golf!
I'm laughing how Casey is licking his food but it looks like he is licking David instead!
Frost for dessert!
