It was that time of year again, DUNES TIME!
We have some pretty amazing friends that let us rent their motor home this year.
This leather couch was a great way to ride to Yuma!
Of course it took an hour to even get out of Mesa.
You know, the stop and get lunch.
Running errands for the others who are already at the dunes that need
something special they forgot or getting parts to things that broke.
Lindi sat in her car seat the whole time!
You must start your trip with getting stuck in the sand while trying to pull in!
This random truck of teenage boys appeared out of nowhere to help us.
I wish I had video of them towing us out.
They quickly attached the tow rope and all hopped in.
With the thumbs up signal they gassed that truck from 0-100 in 1 second!!
Sand was flying from all directions.
I was worried he would blow his engine because he kept going and going hard!
I told Casey it must be his dads truck.
The best was the boy hanging out of the window videoing taping for what I assumed was for snap chat:)
It worked, and we were in the clear!
Thanks boys!
Marcie and Austin got there around the same time as us.
Lindi wanted to hold the fluff ball, hehe.
The next morning the kids were out playing all day!
For New Years Eve pretty much hung around the camp fire
And had a dance party!
Unfortunately my dad had a little spill off of his quad the next day and broke his
collar bone. Travis and Stephanie drove him back to Mesa.
Everybody else trickled home but we stayed and hung out with Travis and Sunni who were camping
next to us with their dune group.
We drove to the top of a dune and had a picnic and let
the big boys play with their Christmas presents:)
Travis gave that remote control car to Casey and bought one for himself.
You should have seen the excitement on Casey's face when he opened it!
He was giddy as a school boy on his first date:)
