Life pics!

One Friday afternoon I could hear a bunch of hoopla coming from outside.
I looked through the window to find the whole neighborhood trying
to hitch a ride on the pink Landshark!
TGIF!

His face... I die!
This kid will NOT crack a smile for the camera, for anything!
Lane had his pinewood derby.
During awards they were taking a picture of each
boy in the photo booth. Each kid walked up and put on their best
cheesy grin. Lane walked up and was stone wall as could be.
In fact he wouldn't even look at the camera!
Everybody was saying, don't smile Lane, to get him to smile.
Head slump. Oh well!

For date night Casey and I hit up IKEA to get me a sweet new cart to put
all of my hair stuff in! (It was Casey's favorite date night... shopping AND assembling
when we got home:)
Lindi woke up and thought it was HER new cart.
She wheeled that thing around the whole morning!

As she wheeled, she found more and more things to put in the cart!
It was so funny.
I thought we were going to have to go back
to IKEA and get another one!

100'th day of school!

Grandpa turned 90!!!
He had a smashing birthday party to celebrate.
Smoked pork dinner, a quick tribute with a video slide show and DANCING!

I was put in cub scouts.
I am over the webelos.
We needed to go on a hike and I don't have another leader with me to help so
Bro. Goodman got to come with:)
Mam oh man do boys have lots of energy!

We had a Monday with no school so we took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda 3 at
FatCats. We got there kind of late so most of the seats were taken, so
Lindi and I squished into one chair.
She fell asleep!
But only for the last 10 minutes of the movie.
Awesome.
Casey took the boys to the arcades while I watched the clean up crew attack the theater
that looked like a popcorn machine had barfed all over while she slept.

Mr. Lane is all grown up and has a metal mouth!
I was worried braces wouldn't sit well with him once they were actually on his teeth.
He proved me wrong!
I didn't hear one complaint.
In fact, he would ask me before he would eat anything if it was ok.
Pretty sure I told him no on some things that were ok:)

I  have been growing out Lindi's short bob for a little change.
After a bath it looked long enough to pull all the way back in a pony.
After I did it, she looked in the mirror and said, It looks like Avery's hair.
(the girl next door who always has her hair in a pony tail)
We all got a good chuckle.

Papa turned 60!
Grammy reserved the big room at Mi Amigos, one of their favorite places!
Stephanie had all of these shirts made for the grandkids to wear as a surprise.

One morning, Lindi came walking in with her blankie down her shirt saying she had
a baby in her tummy. I think that mixed with her high heels gave me the chuckles.

She totally looked prego!
Oh girl, you wait on that, Mmk!

The whole gang went to the Supercross!
It was also a little birthday celebration for David.
It was waaaaay the hay out in Glendale.
We figured we better get there first to beat the traffic and then eat.
Lucky for us, there was an Island's right by the stadium, a Lindblom favorite!
Boo that the one by us closed down and turned into a Hooters.

Not too far behind us were the Toy Haulers and tailgater's that had been boozing it up in the parking
lot all afternoon. Some people have interesting lives.
I'm sure they say the same for us:)

I had a pretty crazy weekend.
To top it off I got the flu that wiped me out for 8. flipping. days!!
I had never been sick like that in my life.
I was pretending I wasn't sick,
or thinking I would bounce back the next day.
Anyway, Friday Rusty had a field trip to the zoo.
I didn't take any pictures, lame!
Probably because the whole time I was trying to make it to the end
without passing out.
My first symptom to being sick but not realizing it.
We didn't get home till later in the afternoon.
That night was our ward party.
Casey was in charge of decorations, which meant I was in charge of decorations!
It was a western theme.
Simple enough.
I had Casey bring home wood pallets from work to paint the menu's on.
I called the lady in the ward that has every kind of décor for a party.
She gave me 20 cowboy hats.
I went to the dollar store and had peanuts on the tables like Texas Roadhouse.
The best, I busted out my old cd case and found some high school country mix's.
Oh ya, a blast from the past!
I had them playing all during the night.
I actually liked the songs so much I am still listening to them in the car:)

We brought IBC in glass bottles.
I was worried somebody might get offended.
You know, "beer" at a ward function.
But they were a hit!

I couldn't find any babies breath at the stores.
I remembered seeing pretty wild flowers along the canal on one of
my runs.
I grabbed some scissors and voila!
Free even:)

It was a fun night!
Everybody came dressed up in their cowboy duds.
The bishops wife but together fun games.
Everybody got split up into groups.
She had about 5 yee- haw games.
We had to put together movie titles.
Good thing I had Connie on my team, she sure knows her Westerns!
We smoked everybody out of the water.

Shooting range

Balloon "horse" round up
There were more.
I stole these off of the ward newsletter:)

We cleaned up and I went home and crashed!
The next morning I peeled my eyes open at 8 and sent Casey a text
saying that I thought I was dying a slow death.
He was at work but came home and took care of everybody.
We had workers outside getting things done on the house.
We ripped out the front yard and it was a construction zone.
I was worried because I was hosting a favorites party that night
with all of my Udall cousins.
It had been planned for a month!
I did not want to cancel.
I really needed to get up and going, but I just couldn't.
Finally at 1pm I fell out of bed.
I pretty much just laid on the couch until I needed to get
some Tylenol at Walgreens and pick up my bread pudding from
Crackers I was going to serve as dessert.
I came home and vacuumed, set up a few things.
Barely did my hair and makeup.
By then I was feeling ok.
Once again thinking I was recovering and I would be fine the next day.
Everybody brought a main dish, dip, salad, etc. that is their favorite.
We had a good spread!
I had a "soda shop" station for drinks.

We ate then had our favorite things exchange!
We put our name in our bowl.
Whatever name you picked out, you got their favorite thing!
Of course we chatted until late in the evening.
I think I might have to do this every year!
We missed a few that couldn't make it.
Like Stephanie who was home dying with the flu.

Welp, I didn't get better until Thursday the next week.
It was misery!
The absolute worse thing ever.
I went to the doctor Tuesday.
I had a sinus infection and the flu.
It gives me anxiety to think that I might get it again next flu season.
I will be doing everything in my power to make sure I don't!
