Lane had track and field day.
My mom text me saying she was going to be down there all day helping.
Even though she has not had a child in that school for 3 years,
she still thinks track and field day is the best day ever!
She is chummy with the PE coach so they coordinated for her to be a helper!
I think she just needs to figure out how to become principal:)
I only went for the last hour.
My dad was sweet to come support Lane as well.
Lindi wanted to help Grandma and Grandpa keep track of all the winners!
It's no secret Lane can dominate in every athletic thing he does.
The boy came home with a 1st or 2nd place ribbon in every event!
Casey Lane had a birthday!
It was pretty funny when we BOTH couldn't remember how old he was turning, yikes!
He of course requested that we pretend it was just another ordinary day.
No gifts or hoopla.
BORING!
We ( meaning us wives) planned to meet up with his womb mate
and have dinner out at San Tan Flats.
We were quickly detoured when the parking lot was full to capacity.
It was only 5:30 for crying out loud!
All of the Minnesota and Michigan license plates need to drive back from where they came from!

We walked in but pretty much walked straight back out when the line for food was over an hour long.
Luckily Sunni and Travis knew of a good pizza restaurant just up the road.
Which we were seated right away, thank goodness.
Which we were seated right away, thank goodness.
Afterwards we went to a park and had dessert!
Sunni made giant cookies and I brought thrifty's ice cream on dry ice.
After some coaxing we finally got smiles from both of them!
This picture captures them perfectly!
All smiles when it's time to dig into dessert:)
Spring break arrived!
I was not so excited at first.
I was just getting over the flu and having the kids home sounded exhausting!
Luckily Stephanie invited the boys over to play all morning.
Luckily Stephanie invited the boys over to play all morning.
After I picked them up I couldn't stand their long, WAY over due for haircuts shaggy heads.
But I still was lacking on energy.
I saw a Sports Clips and pulled on in!
The boys weren't sure about the situation yet.
But once they got a head message at the shampoo bowl they were sold!
No clean up for me and I was sold!!
I would love to take them there every time but 40 bucks??
It will only have to be for special occasions, darn.
The next day was a lazy one.
I rounded up some neighbor kids and we swam in our old neighborhood pool.
The following day I met Stephanie and her kids out at Mesquite pool.
If it's going to feel like Summer, we will play like Summer:)
Plus their water is heated.
I picked up QT pretzels and cheese for lunch.
We also got some shaved ice as a snack.
Don't mind the bikini bum lady in the background.

We were there for 5 hours!
Proof that is was a successful day in the sun:
Earlier on in the week I was trying to think of something fun we could do
so I wouldn't want to murder my children or have their eyeballs pop out from
watching too much tv.
After a big group text with my mom and sisters,
we were set to go to the AZ Grand on Thursday
and spend the night then swim in their fun Oasis all the next day!
I was really excited.
I have never been there before but know a lot of Arizonans like to do stay-cations there.
When we drove in to the resort I was shocked by its enormity.
It was a mini city in there!
I was the first to arrive so we checked in and I asked where I was supposed to park
my car. The man said there was no parking by our room so they needed to valet my car and a
golf cart would drive us and our luggage to our suite.
FUN!
We got a 2 bedroom suite that had a kitchen and living room.
Stephanie got there not too long after us.
We promptly put on our swimming suits and hit the pool for the last hour of sunlight!
We went back to the room to change for dinner!
The front desk said if you needed a ride to anyplace on the property to dial zero
and ask for a golf cart to come pick you up.
Sweet!
They have 2 restaurants that are close to the resort.
We decided to go to Aunt Chiladas.
You can't ever go wrong with Mexican food:)
They golf cart picked us up and drove us straight there.
The driver said for a ride back, to let our waitress know and they would call to send back the
golf cart for us.
It felt like luxury!
Lindi getting Olive all dolled up.
We got back and got the beds made for the boys.
My mom and Craig came after their Spring Training game was over.
They slept in one room and me and Stephanie shared the king in the other.
The next morning we had breakfast, cleaned up and got ready for the pool!
After some smuggling in outside food for the kids we were ready to relax!
Marcie and Scarlett came to party with us!
My dad and Travis came later in the afternoon, too!
I was bummed Casey was too busy working to meet up with us.
I think ordering food pool side is one of my favorite
things to do! Being lazy and eating overpriced yummy food...
I could get used to that:)
Cheese fries and pina coladas are a must!
The whole time I was thinking, if this is what heaven is like,
I would be ok with that:)
I was sad when it got dark and they started shutting down everything for their
movie in the pool night.
I guess we were there for 9 hours solid.
Time to go home.
Man, was that a GREAT way to end Spring Break!
This cute little munchkin had a birthday the next day!
Needless to say, she was SO EXCITED!
She would sing happy birthday to herself all throughout the day.
These glasses slay me.
The neighbor girl gave them to Lindi.
She will put them on randomly and when she does I want her to wear them permanently!
We got donuts and breakfast burritos, of course.
Earlier on in the week our old neighbors had us over for dinner.
Of course she had a cake for Lindi!
It was a Saturday, and dad surprised us by coming home early from work!
He took us to Ned's for lunch.
The rest of the day she played with friends.
Luckily one of her favorite babysitters was going to watch them that night.
We blew out candles and opened presents and she thought it was the best
"party" ever!
Grandma sure knows how to get awesome birthday presents!
This Barbie mannequin head was pretty awesome in her books!
She loves it and keeps her busy;)
Somebody else likes it too:/
Happiest 3rd birthday
our sweet Lindi Lou!
