Last half of Summer

Obviously I am grateful Lindi doesn't need to wear glasses.
But if she ever does, I wouldn't  be too sad about it!
I love when she wears her fake ones.

The bump grew tremendously over the summer!
Boy did it make it more hot and uncomfortable this year.
Both the boys were born at the end of  November.
What a difference a month can make you feel!
I never was phased by the summer heat while pregnant with them.
I was (and still are) counting down the days until either the weather cools off or I pop this kid out!!
Cant come soon enough!!

Olive was over to play and when I looked over had to chuckle.
They might as well have been born twins!

The boys did a couple of weeks at Boredom Busters.
This program is heaven sent!
For 4.5  hours every day but Friday they went to Johnson elementary.
They would do arts and crafts and play games and such.
They went with the neighborhood kids and some cousins.
Every Thursday they would bus them to Stapley to swim.
I would take Lindi and her bud Lily and meet up with them.
They thought it was the best thing ever.
I enjoyed laying in the kiddie beach entry while they entertained each other:)
The highlight was to get an orange crush soda from the vending machine to
drink while we waited for the safety check to end.

I was certainly surprised this year for my birthday!
Sunni and I have birthdays 3 days apart from each other.
Our hubs bought us tickets to see Rascal Flatts!
But these were no ordinary tickets, they were VIP tickets.
Meaning we got great seats at the concert PLUS a special pre show with Gary, Jay and Joe!
Oh, and a sweet swag bag with Rascal Flatt tumblers and ear buds:)

They were literally 10 feet away, it was crazy awesome!
They had papers for people to write questions on.
They would answer the questions then sing portions of their songs.
You got to see their different personalities that way.
Gary, the head singer is pretty funny.
Joe, on the right has a potty mouth.
Jay mentioned his wife a lot.
In fact she was there.
Makes you realize what a different life style they have.
You could see their million dollar RV's in the parking lot.
It would be fun for a month but after that, no thank you!

After our private show we slipped in to see Kelsi Ballerini perform.
I already loved her songs, but now I love them even more!
She is super cute in person.

Then the big show started!
Can we say amazing?!
I would go to their concert 10 more times.
It honestly was so cool.

All the cell phone lights swaying when they sang My Wish.

We went family camping at the end of July.
Luckily Casey came with us this year!
This girl loves but hates camping.
She hardly left my side.
I think if she had somebody to play with she would have been more content.
But her pig tails when she woke up killed me!

I wish I had a picture of the army we had down at the shooting range!
We are definitely a gun loving family!

It was Casey's favorite time of the year again, SCHOOL SHOPPING!!:)
I told him it will only get worse when the girls start going to school.
We won't be able to get it all done at Target!

For one last Summer fling I took the kids and their friends to the LEGOLAND
Discovery Center.
I was nervous they wouldn't last long and it would be a waste of money.
The tickets weren't cheap so I warned them before we left that we were not leaving until
we had been there at least 3 hours!
Low and behold, 5 hours whizzed by and they were still having a grand ol' time!

Even Lindi loved it!

I kept getting startled by the life sized humans made out of Legos, lol!

I took the kids to Cracker Barrel for breakfast on the last day of Summer.
Then we walked around Bass Pro.
See their sad faces:(
It's always hard knowing your lazy days are over.

1st and 4th grade studs!

I was nervous on how Rusty would be.
He did half day Kindergarten last year, so it was his first big
day of ALL day school.
It was a breeze for him!
He came home all smiles, phew!

It started pouring rain one evening.
Here is the neighborhood crew enjoying the wetness.
The best was when the bishops wife came in her suburban and would drive down the gutter spraying them with water!
It was comical.

It was my parents wedding anniversary the beginning of August.
Of course they invited all of US to Big Surf to celebrate.
It was a wonderful Saturday of fun in the sun!
