Lane and Golf

Golfing for a high school sport is so different than

"normal" sports.

Not everyone on the team gets to go to matches.

Just the top 5 players.
Lane had advanced enough this year that he was able to play in all of the matches!

The hard part is that is it is not a typical spectator sport.
You have to move around with them to see any any action.

My mom learned the ropes when my brother Craig was on the golfing team

and told me how to do it.

However, matches were at horrible times of the day where I 

needed to be driving the other kids around town.

She went to the last match before State championship and took pictures for me. 

Coach Shoemaker is one of the best!

Go team Mesa!

I was able to watch him during States since it was during the day!

Hooray!

My dad got a golf cart for us which was nice 

so he could teach me how golf is played!

I hadn't a clue.

Look who rolled up!

They don't allow players to ride in golf carts.
Kind of cruel.

Walking the whole time in the heat is brutal enough,

and then playing golf on top of it isn't for the faint of heart!
