7 Years Old!

Somebody was counting down the days until she turned 7!
Mainly because it was a party year for her.

She begged to have her hair down for her birthday, no clips or ponies.
I never let her because she looks like a rag a muffin 1 hour in.

I agreed and she probably felt like she was 17 that day!

She scored that it was Grandparents day at school!
I brought Neds Krazy subs and she had fun eating with Grandma and Grandpa.

Her bestie Scarlett.

She picked Nandos for dinner.
She is on a nacho kick, which we aren't complaining about!

These are hands down the best nachos on the planet!

Came home to more gifts.

As you can see, her hair does not hold up being down.
I'm glad she enjoyed it while she could!

She really wanted to go to the zoo for her party.
I agreed thinking that was pretty manageable.
Until I realized that every single one of her friends still sits in a booster seat!
It was too far to ask the parents to drop off and pick them up.
I didn't feel like dealing with 8 booster seats so I said pick something else.

Tea parties, princesses, bowling, trampoline parks were a hard no from her.
The only thing she wanted was a pinata.

I do not have a house to entertain tons of little kids so she was fine
to have it at the park.
It still is pretty hot during the day, so evening would be the only time frame.
And with lighting we only had small window!

We brought our own tables and set up down the retention basin.
It turned out perfect!

Simple is what I like best for this age.
I hate blowing tons of money on extravagant parties for kids
when all they care about is running around and getting a sucker!

Della did NOT want pizza.
She said pizza is at every birthday party and nobody likes it anymore.

That is true about Little Caesars sponsoring every party.
And I do notice that kids don't eat it because it is not a novelty item.

She picked chicken tenders and french fries from Pirates!
Let me tell you, they were a hit!
They gobbled them up with nothing left to spare!

It was just as easy and maybe a little more expensive than pizza.
But nothing was wasted and it filled them up!

I had a slew of games for them to play.

Did the pinata before it got dark.

Opened presents and had donuts.

Played more games until the parents came!

We took home the Evans kids since their parents were still at a Halloween party.
Her last request was to drive by the haunted house.
