Movie Night

Some of us girls went to see the chick flick P.S. I Love You last night. Such a good movie! One of my friends, her name will remain anonymous (but we all know who it is :)) started a once a month "get together and go to a late night movie". Anyone who wants to come is invited and bring as many friends as you want! Such a fun way to meet new people! P.S. - Take tissues to this movie!

Happy New Year!

We enjoyed ringing in the new year at the sand dunes! We had a fun mix of families there for the celebration which makes it so much more exciting and fun. Merry Christmas!

We had a very fun and eventful Christmas this year! I love Christmas because: I am with family all day, I get to eat my dads biscuits and gravy for breakfast, Christmas music is playing on every radio station, and the movie A Christmas Story is played all day. I can't believe Christmas came and is already almost gone. Thanks to everyone who spoiled us this year!

Where did you meet your husband? We were set up on a blind date by his sister Melinda. She is a good match maker!
What was the first thing you said to your husband? Probably "hurry, lets go" I was trying to spare him from the ackward 1st date "meeting the parents" conversation. He wasn't fast enough , my mom is quick.
Where was your first date? The State Fair. We had so much fun even though he was shy and quiet. (if you know Casey you know what I mean) I think that made me like him even more. He even won me a teddy bear!
Where was your first kiss? At my parents house in the office
Did you have a long or short courtship/engagement? I guess normal for Mormons. We dated about 4 months and engaged for 3 months.
Where did he propose? At my parents house. He did a little scavenger hunt. It was on Valentines day and I was still surprised.
Where did you get married? Mesa AZ Temple
How did your reception go? I loved everything about my reception! The mechanical bull was the icing on the cake! Yes you heard me right and no we are not hicks!
How was your honeymoon? Definitely can't complain! We went to Pagosa Springs CO for a week. It is a cute little town. We went to the hot natural springs and on a hot air ballon ride.

4. This is simple but I would love to learn how to play the piano well. I took lessons in Jr. high but obviously never got anywhere with it.
5. To do the splits. That is a big task for me, I am just not limber!

6 facts/habits about myself
1. I love going to bed with crisp clean sheets and freshly shaven legs!
2. I am the worst picker, it doesn't matter what. zits, dry lips, eyebrows, Casey's whiskers are my favorite.
3. I hate going to the bathroom. I will hold it for forever just so I don't have to waste time to go. I can hold it through the night even when I was 9 months pregnant.
4. I love summer time and the beach. Someday I will own a beach house!
5. I hate being alone at night. I run from my car to the front door as fast as I can . If Casey is gone over night I will call my little sister to spend the night with me.
6. Fish creep me out.

HE DID IT!

Yes, you heard me right! Casey graduated from ASU last night with a degree in Business Adminitsration. He has worked really hard the past couple of years for this, and we can't be more proud of him! He is the best husband and father anyone could ever ask for! Thank you Casey for all that you do for us! We love you! on the last day of school Lane and I went down to ASU and decorated his truck

Christmas Party #2

The Goodmans are always starting fun traditions. On Monday night we had a progressive dinner including stops and all our homes for: appetizers, salads, hot chocolate, soup and dessert. All of it was really good and I have not been that full in a long time! We are singing "Must Be Santa" at Sunni and Travis's house

Lanes cousin Randon. The Goodmans have 8 grandchildren. They are the only boys out of the bunch. Luckily the are only one month apart.

Christmas Party #1

Tonight we went over to grandma and grandpa Udall's house for our annual cousin gift exchange. This has always been one of my favorite traditions and look forward to it every year! We all eat dinner then clear out the room to make way for all the presents. The little kids have a gift exchange, then the "grown ups" do a white elephant gift game. It is always so nice to be with family to celebrate the holidays! my sister Marcie and brother David

This is what we got for the white elephant gift. Casey is happy because I stole the M&Ms from my cousin who had already started eating them. Plus it came with a gift card for iTunes.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we spent it with the Goodmans. We went out to Casey's uncle and aunts new house in CasaGrande. They celebrate Arizona style so instead of turkey and potatoes, we ate mexican food. I guess they have been doing it this way for a long time but it was my first mexican Thanksgiving. The kid's ran wild while the girls talked and the guys played pool and crashed on the couches watching football. Lane was lucky and caught a ride on the tractor with papa.

I like Thanksgiving because the next day I actually get a husband at home for once. I have never done the black Friday shopping thing, but I went to the gym today and next door there is a Joannes fabric. I said "what the heck, I will go in really fast". Let me just say... there was some good deals. I got a lot of good stuff. Maybe next year I will attempt waking up early and brave the crowds and go shopping! Now it's time to bust out the christmas stuff, I can't wait!

Birthday Boy!

Lane had his first birthday today! We had everyone over to my in laws and we ate ice cream sundaes and cookies to celebrate. Lane got his own cake to eat and he thought it was very yummy. I am so mad because I forgot my memory stick at home so I couldn't take lots of pictures, so here is what I got. Luckily my family came prepared with theirs.

Before he dug in he decided to touch the candle and burn his finger (poor guy) so we had to calm him down with some ice cream. So now it's official, I am the mother of a one year old! This past year with him has been the best. Happy birthday Lane!

Veterans Day

My family went out the desert to ride quads and dirt bikes for Veterans day. Of course Lane loved every minute of it. Poor Casey had to stay home to finish home work, but we had a moment of silence in his behalf. And we couldn't of gone to the desert without going to Mi Amigos after for dinner! Chick or Treat !

Last year on Halloween I was 8 1/2 months pregnant and ready to pop at any given minute, so this year was a whole lot more enjoyable. Lane was so much fun to dress up and was such a good sport to wear his costume even though he was sweating to death in it. I think we stripped him down about 3 times. I even had a bonus this year because Casey actually "dressed up" which he normally refuses to do. Deep down inside I know he thinks its fun.


I know I was the boring one, but I have dressed up all the other years. We enjoyed going to our parents houses, eating taco soup, drinking home made rootbeer, dry ice bombs (courtesy of Casey's dad) and having all the candy you want! Happy Halloween!

Oh what a night!

The past few days Lane has been a little under the weather. The first day he was running a fever but seemed to be ok. Next day, still has a fever, so that night I decide to take him into the doctor just to make sure he wasn't starting anything. So around eight o'clock Casey and I take him down to twighlight hours at our pediatricians office which is first come first serve. Lane fell asleep on the way so Casey stays in the car while I check in. I go back out to the car to tell Casey how long it will take and I can hear all the air going out of my back tire. No big deal right? Just change it and were done. Wrong. I guess the lug nuts on my tires are a different shape and you have to a have a certain kind of jack to take them off and we didn't have one. So to make a long story short ,we have to call triple A to tow my car and they couldn't come till 9:30 which turned into 10. In the mean time my father in law came to our rescue and picked up Lane and Casey to take them home so Lane could go to bed. I had to stay because our triple A card is in my name and I had to be there. My father in law comes back to pick me up to go back to their house so I can borrow a car. My mother in law drives back with me so I won't be alone. Tow truck comes, loads up my car then I take my mother in law back home and I arrive at home around eleven. The good thing is, Lane is ok and just has a little virus and will be good as new in 3-5 days.

Schnepf Farms

This was my first time going to Schnepf Farms and it was so much fun! I don't know why I had never been before. I think I just thought it was a place to pick pumpkins and they had a haunted house during October and that was it, but I was way wrong. There were so many fun activities to do and the price is great. Lane's favorite was playing in the pumpkin patch. He played with the pumpkins for a good twenty minutes.
