5 dollar foot longs

.
No, this post is not about foot longs, I couldn't think of a title so I went with the song that was in my head from the commercial that was just on tv:) It's random, just like the random things we have been up to these past weeks.

Most random of all, have you ever wondered what a cow's tongue would look like not in it's mouth but frozen on your kitchen table? My in-laws butchered their cow and kindly gave us some of their meat (organic as it gets!). Casey's dad asked if we would like the tongue. Ha, I thought he was joking but nope he was not! Of course we would have NO use for it but Casey being the generous person that he his called up some of the mexicans from work because for sure they would take a free tongue any day. But only on stipulations that they invite us over for tongue burritos:) I was curious as to what it would look like so I made him open the package before he gave it away. Lane, what a goober. If only he understood how gross it is to have your face laying on top of frozen chopped-up cow parts.

Ok, that thing was HUGE! In person it was pretty disgusting. I couldn't look directly at it for a few seconds. You could see it's taste buds all frozen over. To think people eat this stuff...SICK!

For some reason Lane has to get all geared up to ride his bike. He cracks me up. When he turned the corner he was meaning serious business. All hunched over, peddling hard, starring only straight forward with such concentration... told you, such a stinking cute goober.

We participated in Disney's Give A Day, Get A Day! My aunt Jori has started an organization for her son with down syndrome called DSNetwork. For our Give A Day we went down to a church building where we had a beauty day for all the kids and their families. There were different stations where you could get beautified, get your picture taken, make a craft and play games. I was able to cut hair while Casey helped with the activities. We had fun serving others and can't wait until we GET A DAY!!! soon, soon!! I guess my aunt said Disney was only handing out one million tickets. The week after we did our event they hit their one million mark in only 3 months. That is just amazing, great idea Disney!

Little Rusteeze is still as cute as ever!!! I wish I knew how much he weighs but he is almost 16 weeks old. He LOVES bath time and is getting close to rolling over from his back to stomach. He loves for us to stick out our tongues and will copy-cat back. He is sleeping good and daddy's pillow is still his favorite spot to snooze.

We have been enjoying our awesome weather by going to Jefferson's baseball games. We are getting practice in for all the games I'm sure we will be attending for Lane and Rusty in the future.

For an update on Casey and I, we are pretty much doing our normal routines. Casey has gone on a couple campouts with the young men in our ward recently. He is busy with work which is such a blessing and I tend to keep him extra busy with projects around the house. Basketball with the big boys (his friends) are also in his weekly mix. I think it's funny how boys and girls spend their time with friends so differently. Girls: shopping, play dates at the park with kids, going to lunch, craft/bead/candle parties etc. Boys: basketball, softball, quad riding...you get the picture:) As for me, I am hobbling around a lot due to some serious sore muscles. I am trying ever so desperatly to get back into my pre pregnant with your 2nd child body before swimsuit season hits. I am so desperate I went out and got a gym memership. It's been too long and my body doesnt know what to do with that kind of movement. I am hopping to see a light at the end of the tunnel SOON! I am absolutly loving being a mom to my 2 boys. Serioulsy loving it! Loving it so much I wish I was pregnant with a 3rd...wow now that's love! The other day I felt like the mom off of Cheaper By The Dozen when I layed down in my bed and I could feel something under my pillow. I reached underneath and pulled out a big green plastic snake and as I smiled I wondered what that boys intenstions were:) With no kids in real school, each day is so different from the next. I kind of like it that way, never a dull moment. Next up is Spring Break. We don't have anything exciting planned. Just happy to hear the word SPRING!

First off, tongue. EWWWW! The way it is all curled up like that and the taste buds. {dry heave}
Secondly, your boys are so cute. The picture of your family inside the picture frame was adorable.
Thirdly, how is the gym going?
Do they have day passes, so i could join you randomly? i'm in need of some sore muscles that lead to a sexy swimsuit body...

So fun. I love your Aunt Jori. She's in our ward and I just love everything that comes out of her mouth! She's so wise and happy. She taught a lesson at enrichment one time and I'll never forget it.

My dad fed me cow tongue once but didn't tell me what it was until after I'd eaten it. It was SERIOUSLY SO GOOD! Not kidding. You should have eaten it! :)
