Goodman summer vacation

We went to Showlow back in July with the Goodman clan! EVERYBODY was there. I think 29 all together. It was a blast! We stayed in a huge cabin and the kids roamed as they pleased and kept themselves entertained playing with cousins. Key to a perfect vacation in my book. I didn't take a single picture while we were up there:/ So I bummed off some pictures from my sis n laws:)

We enjoyed a fun family jeopardy game for FHE, celebrated summer birthdays. Played lots of late night games with the grown ups. Mafia was the game of choice. Ate lots of good food, 5 star dining the whole week! Trips to the playground, Grammy camp where all the grand kids wore their tie dye shirts. A trip to the bowling ally, taking over a Mexican restaurant  for dinner one night. Go karts, shooting guns and swimming. It was a great week with family!!!

Grammy camp day

This was a really fun night activity. We were split up into groups. Each group picked a Disney movie out of a hat and a Disney song. When it was your groups turn you went into the back room and pulled costumes out of the dress up box to go with the movie and song you drew. You then came out and performed your movie for everybody else to guess.

So, here you have the cast from Pocahontas. From left to right: Indian chief, Capt Smith, Pocahontas, 2 little indian boys and Grandmother Willow:)

FHE Jeopardy

Summer birthdays. Poor Bryant. The lone boy.

Late night grown up games while kids were snoozing.
 Standard bedtime was 1am!

Grammy camp games (out of order)

Sometimes I think Lindi looks like we slapped a bow on top of Rusty's head.

1st day of 1st grade and a Shining Star!

Lane is a big 1st grader!
Whoop whoop.
His teacher's name is Ms. Gonzales and she seems really nice!

Rusty gets to go to Shining Star preschool!
Miss Lori and Miss Reagan are also awesome.
He is going to love his first year of preschool and feeling like a big kid!

This is his preschool scrapbook page for star of the week.

Swim Team/Lessons

Lane swam on his first swim team.
He was a natural.
It was fun having his buddy Mason from school on his team.

Can you tell blue is his favorite color?!

Rusty loved his swimming lessons with Carolyn.

Lindi gets to be in swim lessons next year so she enjoyed observing!

Beginning of Summer

We all know that summer is my all time favorite.
It seems like the second school lets out, Summer activities take place instantly!
That is the way I like it.

We did some temple work with all 7 of Casey's siblings and spouses.
A first time occasion!

Memorial day we went to the Phoenix cemetery with the Udall cousins.
To be honest I can never remember which relatives are buried there but it is tradition.

We like to eat corn dogs for lunch, a lot.
They have their cooling method mastered.

Grammy camp returned.
Probably for the last time!
How she does it I don't know.

 Orange you glad it's Summer?!
The theme for this year.
They each came home with a back pack full of orange goodies.

Lindi sported lots of pink onesies.

Goggle obsession.
Wore these for 3 hours.
Which caused major raccoon indentations.

Skinny dipping for those 5 months and younger:)

 AAAAND a dreaded birthday.
30.
I didn't have to turn old alone though.
It's a twin perk!

Marcie's birthday was the following day:)

End of the school year

Lane graduated from Kindergarten!
It was a big year accomplishment for him.
His teacher was AMAZING.
Like really, the best you can get.
That was the only reason why it was so hard for me to except that it was the last day of school.

This was at the Kinder sing on the last day.
You can't even see Lane in the sea of kids but just to get the picture...

This is Mrs. Stradling.
She was so good to Lane.
SO genuine and nice.
Like, I see her at the gym and she treats me like her friend.
Like, I ran into her at a funeral and she insisted on taking Lindi so I could enjoy the family prayer without having to feed a baby at the same time.
I may have gotten teary eyed having to give her up.
But in 2 years we will get her back with Rusty!

We must reward those A's with free Krispy Kremes.
6 free Krispy Kremes!

Jefferson graduated from High school!
It's almost the end of an era.
We only have Craig left to attend MHS.

There were a million bee's in the stands at the graduation.
After David getting stung and attracting more bee's our way, Marcie made herself a nice bee helmet to protect herself.

Thank goodness for face time!
Pretty sure they could pick out Jeffy in the 800 other purple robes on that tiny screen.

T-ball time!

It was Lane's last year for t-ball.
He wasn't sad at all because he is so ready for COACH PITCH!
He kept asking when the coach was going to throw the ball.
Tee's are for babies... in his book.
Darn those age limit rules:)

Even better, dad got to help coach!
Go Red Sox!!

David came home!

It is such a happy day when your brother comes home from a 2 year mission!
David served his mission in Honduras.
After watching some of his home videos from his mission I wondered how he survived.
I say that because the boy takes longer showers and dresses better than I do!
Honduras is definitely not America and I am grateful for brothers and other missionaries who sacrifice 2 years of their lives to serve the Lord.

We were quite a group with people on camera duty and iphone/pad duty so Stephanie and Christopher could face time with his big arrival.

You could tell that he had grown spiritually over those past 2 years.
He gave a wonderful homecoming report, too.
Two brothers down, 2 to go.
Before I know it, it will be my boys turn to go!

Lindi Lou's blessing day

Lindi was blessed on May 5th 2013.
It was a special day with lots of our family in attendance.
I knew it was going to be a good day when I slipped into church 2 minutes before it started.
I can never make it on time to church.
Even when it starts at 11:30.
I was super proud of myself.

I was also looking forward to dressing up a little girl in a frilly white outfit.
My whole pregnancy that was what I was most excited about.
Is that weird?
My grandma Ann took me dress shopping before she was born .
She is amazing and buys all of her great grandchildren their blessing outfits.
I already knew I wanted a short dress.
This one caught my eye the second I walked in.
After browsing through the racks I knew this was her dress.
I even got that tingling feeling when I held it up.
Kind of like wedding dress shopping, you just know when it's THE dress.
So I said YES TO THE DRESS!
And of course I had to accessorize from head to toe.

The Goodman side.
This is going to be a common gathering for us.
There are going to be 6 babies born in the year 2013!!

The Lindblom side.
David even made it home from his mission from Honduras earlier that week.
Stephanie and Travis live out of state BUT she is having a girl this week!
Bring on the cousins!

Grandma Ann and Grandpa Jess

The men that were in the circle.

She was so loved that day and
was the cutest little white/ivory fluff ball that I ever did see!
