Homecoming for Rusty

This was Rusty's first year for Homecoming!

He took Tatum Cutchins.
She is a Highland girl.

They met at the lake this Summer.
She plays volleyball and knows all of his volleyball friends at Mesa.

I loved the colors they picked to wear together.
Hot pink is always a classic!

They had quite a large group!

They had dinner at the Montagues, and then off to the dance!
Elevate was the after party.

Girls Trip To St. George!

About once a year I take off with a handful of ladies in my ward!

In the past it's mostly been to Vegas to go to concerts, but this time
we went a little further to St. George!

We piled in my car with a stop at the new Buc-cees in Kingman!

That place slaps.
I personally love their soda on tap and their chocolate pudding, so random!

We had enough time to dump our bags, change real quick before heading out to dinner
before our show at the Tuacahn!

Courtney whipped up these shirts for us with her press machine!

It is a cool venue, but it was stuffy and hot!
I can only imagine how bad it is in the dead of the Summer.

Bethany and I hit our usual workout!

Which is good because this was our goodie table!
Women know how to party!

I LOVED where we stayed!
It is huge with all sorts of condos or homes you could rent for large or small groups.

Just for my reference purposes,

The resort community was called Desert Color, and our particular
house was called Desert Daydream.

It had 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

One of the rooms had 3 sets of build in bunks.

The best part was the massive lagoon!
It is so big, paddle boards are allowed in it.
We spent the whole day out there.

They also have 3 other swimming pools and pickleball courts.

We lucked out and were there for the Dixie Rodeo!

We ate so much this trip.
Which was fine because we burned most of calories with all of our talking!

Seriously, it was the best being able to catch up on life with each one of them.
I don't think there was a moment someone wasn't talking unless it was 2am and we finally
pulled ourselves away to sleep, ha!

We had a hot tub in our house, which is where we ended up most nights.

Look who showed up!
Amber and Levi made a last minute pit stop and stayed the night with us on their way to
Salt Lake.

We did initiatories.
This temple was massive and absolutely gorgeous!

Afterwards we got massages and hit up Dutchmans gas station for
cookies. Then Harmons grocery store for their salad bar!

Hit the pool for a few hours before doing a ghost tour Michelle found online!
Hoaxy, yes.

A fun memory we will laugh about forever?
Absolutely.

We listened to Greg and Karla Hancocks mission farewell on zoom before checking out.

We extended the trip for as long as we could.
A stop in Vegas for the Wynn buffet was a must!

Walking off our food and being silly before our long haul back home!

Groovy

I don't know how trends start, but I am here for them!

This was about AI making you look 80's.
Why was the 80's so cool?!

It was fun to see what we would have looked like back then.
We all killed it!!

This looks nothing like Casey and I, but those legs in shorty shorts, OW!

Marcie and Austin

Stephanie looks like Kelly Kapalski!

This edgy look is so David, ha!

The mullet on Jesse, I die!

On Pday we even got Lane in on the action!

Nothing like 2 swat teams raiding the drug house on a Tuesday morning.
Can they PLEASE leave already??

Yep, Sonic drinks means more golf!

The duck shirts... that is what you get to wear
when your team polos are on backorder.

Lake Powell

We got an invitation we couldn't resist from my cousin.
Mike and Mollie put together a Lake Powell trip every 2 years.

We had heard how epic they are, and we were honored to join this round!

It was over Labor Day weekend.
Kids got to play hooky from school a couple of days.

This was only our second time going, ever.

We were excited to go with families from our stake who we love so much!

There were 6 families, total.

Us, Brian and Hillary Goodman, Montagues, Hinze's, Jensens, and the Hogles!
All of our kids had a group to hang with.

The weather couldn't have been more perfect.

Trying to beat the dark and launching into the beautiful sunset!

We were a tad nervous with 6 families and 2.5 bathrooms.
We were surprised how will it went!
Never had to wait for a toilet or shower.
Each couple got their own tiny room.
All of the kids hunkered here, there, and everywhere.

We were super comfy!

It was nice letting the older teenagers go off on their own!

Hillary taught us Mahjong!!

These kids played so hard and crashed just as hard!

The moms would paddle board to this alcove and chat for hours.

Rusty and Owen were trying all the tricks!
With Max filming for content, of course.

Double surfing

It didn't work as well trying to get them on the same board.
They were trying to get Rusty on Owens shoulders.

We were belling laughing at Owen bear hugging Rusty to get them out of the water!

They couldn't quite figure that one out.

There were constant boats filled with boys or girls going out to surf or tube.

They played on the shores like they were at the beaches in California.

Coloring or bedazzling at the table 24/7

Our boat wanted to keep coming off the shorline.

I laughed when I saw Della on the jet ski trying to tow Casey back
to land!

The boys going out to assist.

It was an overcast day with some sprinkles on Sunday.

We took the boats out to sight see.

Which led to some cliff jumping.
These kids are crazy!

Rusty threw a gainer!

I legit couldn't watch until it was over.

He is not mine or Casey's child!

The whole group before a few needed to leave for home early.

This gaggle of girls were non stop!

They could have tubed from sun up to sun down!

I took the ladies out for a sunset surf sesh!
I love them all so much.
Whitney Jensen was the only one I didn't know.
She is now a good friend, and I am happy I got to know her on this trip!

Of course, poor Lane missing out on another trip.
He was happy to ride in the boat on the phone with us on pday;)

Movie night and popcorn.

I guess a jet ski broke down on the way back to the marina so they had to tow him.

Kids eating the free for all leftovers while making our way back to land.

Our last trip to Powell didn't leave a good taste in my mouth.
It was a good time, but unnecessary drama happend towards the end.
It put a damper on the experience.

This time it was such a lovely trip!
Zero drama. Bless.

We hope to go back again soon!
