I had a 30th birthday and my gift was a weekend get-away to Sedona!
It had been 4 years since Casey and had snuck away with just the 2 of us.
Sadly I have never been to Sedona so I was pumped!
We ended up staying in Flagstaff but drove into Sedona for a jeep tour.
Here was our posy for the three hour tour.
Let me tell ya, they pack you in!
Our tour guide was a hoot.
You know those guys who drive the jungle cruise at Disneyland?
Well times them by 5 and you have our tour guide.
The man talked pretty much every second up and back down the mountain.
But luckily he was interesting and fun to listen to.
There were 3 other guys from Europe who were on a business trip in Chandler. They drove up for their day off. One from London, Austria and I think Germany? Some computer business.
And then 2 girls and us.
The funniest was when our tour guide was talking about desert wildlife and asked our group if any of us has ever seen a scorpion. Ha!
When we said we have them in our house and that I have been stung twice they all gasped in horror.
Only in Arizona I guess.
At the top of the mountain.
I am not a scenic person and mountains and sunsets really don't captivate me but
Sedona really is beautiful.
Our jeep, PeeWee
Besides our jeep tour we thoroughly enjoyed sleeping in, eating ice cream late at night while watching tv that wasn't Doc Mcstuffins or Jake and the never land pirates. And the best was saved for last.
The brunch buffet at the Little America hotel that we stayed at.
YUMMMMM:)
