David and Abbey

I decided to clump all of the wedding extravaganza into one long post:)

We shall start with the engagement!
I about hopped out of my chair and screamed with excitement when David
asked Marcie and I to help plan the proposal.
I LOVE weddings.
As a teenager it was a well known fact that my favorite TV show was,
A Wedding Story on TLC.
I should have been a wedding planner!
We decided to set up the proposal at my parents house.
Rose petal and candle trails leading from the front door to the backyard.
Movie projector screen with a slide show of dating pictures for Abbey to watch.
David would come up from behind, get down on one knee.
Hopefully (wink), she would say yes.
Then fireworks as the last big surprise.
All day Saturday we prepared.
Got balloons, set up luminaries, Craig and my dad
built this awesome projector screen.
It was all set up... then this HUGE, random storm blew in.
We thought maybe it would blow right over.
Nope, for the rest of the night it dumped rain like it never
has before. It was such a bummer, of all the rotten luck!!
We decided to postpone until the next day.
We threw the flowers in the fridge and said a prayer it wouldn't rain again.

Here is the projector screen getting bent and mangled in the storm

Poor David, trying not to get upset about the whole situation.

mulling over how to revamp for the next day

We woke up to clear skies!
We ate Sunday dinner at my parents then hurried and set up.
The only thing we had to get more of was balloons.
Yes, it was Sunday,
When the ox is in the mire...
We tied dating pictures at the end of the ribbons and had them floating under the porch.
Only when the wind would blow they would get all tangled up!
And some of the balloons got weighed down too much.
Pinterest fail!
You can see the heart shaped luminaries around a bench for her to sit on while she
watched the movie.

We also had a little bubbly on ice with champagne flutes and
chocolate drizzled popcorn to munch on.

The second round went off without a hitch!
Abbey was completely surprised!
Probably because most people don't get engaged on a Sunday night.

Abbey's bridal shower was one for the books!
It was at her family friends house.
SO elegant and nice!
I mean, check out that food table.
I had THIRDS of EVERYTHING!

Lindi enjoyed her lunch next to Grandmother.

Abbey is one of Lindi's favorite people.
I think opening gifts is a highlight for that girl!
She was nestled nice and close to check out the goods!

I am a lame present wrapper.
I rummaged through my bin of gift bags and nothing was big enough to
fit my gift.
I found the girliest wrapping paper I had and didn't think anything of it.
The second I pulled up to this gigantic house, I was feeling a little embarrassed of my ghetto gift!
Then when I saw the pile of boxes with fluffy bows I almost took mine back to the car
and thought I would give it to Abbey later!
Oh well, it gave my sisters a good laugh.
I will claim  the W.T. sister- in -law title.
The sharpie note is the cherry on top!!

The wedding dinner was at my parents house and was pretty much a mini reception!
Fiesta themed and all.

Stephanie made the cutest center pieces.
I don't do decorating, my gift proves of my inabilities!

Sweet pork salads and tacos with mini chimi's was the menu.
For dessert we had churros with different dipping sauces.

The head table

David did introductions

Marcie put together minute to win it games that was super fun!
Bride side against groom side.

I wonder who she was talking to?:)

It was a late night, with another big day to follow!
If only I could lay on the floor like this when I am exhausted!

The big day arrived!
Mr. and Mrs. Lindblom!

The reception was in Abbey's dad's backyard, and it was GORGEOUS!
I loved her colors. These 2 flower girls were killing me with their cuteness!

I am so glad Lucy was here for the wedding!
Jael sewed her the most adorable dress.
I wish so badly we could see her more often!

Abbey wanted to have Olive and Lindi be the flower girls for the ring ceremony.
I was a little nervous she wouldn't perform!
I showed her you tube clips of other little girls throwing flower petals down the isle to prep her.
It sure worked!
Only when they got close to David they both stopped and dumped all of the petals in a pile!

This photo booth was a hit!

The boys must have spent the whole night in that thing!
When we got in the car to go home, I noticed Rusty's stash of pictures.
Oops, who was watching those kids?!

I was most excited about the dancing.
Watch me whip....

Watch me Nae Nae

Their exit was phenomenal!
Sparklers then a legit fireworks display.

See why I love weddings so much?
It's a party for 2 months straight!
David couldn't have picked a better girl to marry.
Abbey fits right into our family and we couldn't love her more!
