Man, Christmas came in a whirlwind.
Why does November and December happen in a fury?
Every year I say I am going to enjoy it more and not be so flustered and overwhelmed.
Well, it was BONKERS.
If it wasn't maybe it wouldn't feel like Christmas?
I'll just tell myself that, lol!
I finally figured out how I want to decorate my house for the holidays.
Country Christmas!
I added a few things to my collections.
This vintage truck was calling my name.
My neighbor has a daughter who does amazing chalkboard art.
I paid her to do this fresh cut trees sign.
I love how it turned out, wish I could keep it up year round!
We invited some cousins over for candy train decorating.
I was proud of myself for keeping it minimal.
I didn't bake or over achieve on the activity.
(pat myself on the back)
I called in Ginger Zing for the grownups and Stephanie and Travis picked up
Hot N Ready's for the kids.
The kids assembled their trains then brought them to us to get hot glued together.
Poor Landon is crawling and Della is walking... she saw it fit to maul him
whenever she passed by. Pecking order?
He took it like a champ!
Stephanie's face!
It really was an interesting story!

Pulling knives on people who take your parking space
is a great way to spread holiday cheer:)
My neighbor text wondering if everything was ok over
at our house.
They were having their own party and she found it hilarious watching their guests scrambling to park their cars to legal spots on the street.
A few fake parking tickets later and it was a real party!
I'm joking, but that would have been funny for him to do that.
After train making, we hopped into the back of the truck with some hot cocoa and looked at
Christmas lights!
Holiday band concert for Lane
Every year I seem to change the neighbor gifts.
I think I finally found a winner!
Buttermilk syrup... you "butter watch out"
To make 50 batches, you need lots o butta!
This is not even half of what I used.
Your butt butter watch out, is more like it!
The Lindblom party was epic this year.
We danced to Justin Biebers, Drummer Boy.
Yes, with ugly sweaters.
Yes, we practiced for a whole month beforehand
Yes, we practiced for a whole month beforehand
Yes, it was AMAZING!
My dad got sick so Casey was his understudy.
He was very hesitant, but knew he had to do it.
He was very hesitant, but knew he had to do it.
I told him to not think of it as dancing, but ra pum pum pumming his MIL!
They opened with some drumming on each others rumps.
Then we came on stage and did our "choreographed" dance.
We did it again for the Udall party.
I normally make our Christmas cards.
My software isn't working, plus I didn't mind letting somebody else
do all of the work this year.
I ordered them the same time as Rusty's baptism invites so it was nice to have that
off of the check list early on!
Preschool program was adorable as always.
This is Elle, her best bud.
If they could be attached at the hip, they would.
No crying this year, holla!
Except for when her candy cane broke, eye roll.
I am horrible and never think to invite the grandmas to events like this!
When I walked in and saw Grammy I was surprised!
She was already there for Charlotte and Hanks program (they go to the earlier class).
So she figured she would stay for Lindi's.
We got invited to the Bartons for more train decorating.
She put me to SHAME!
She put me to SHAME!
Big sized candy bars, frosting for glue. Every kind of candy you could
think of for the wheels and what not.
She wrapped the cardboard in cute paper for them to take them home on.
Going to her house is like going to Monica's
I got so tired of eating treats I started hiding them in the microwave!
Grammy outdid herself again with an out of this world party.
The theme was Frozen.
The theme was Frozen.
Unfortunately Lane was sick with a fever so we had to stay home.
Casey took the other kids and said it was amazing, of course!
Her dinner display
Anna and Elsa themselves came for a visit
And played some games with the kids.
And ended the night with the live nativity:)
Justin pulled off a surprise birthday party for Stephanie.
Esacape Room with ugly sweaters.
We crammed everyone in their 12 passenger van!
My spot was on the floor right next to the door and Papa:)
Christmas Eve was spent at church this year.
then dinner and a Santa visit at Grammy and Papas
tracking Santa's sleigh before bed
It was nice putting the kids to bed with everything wrapped and assembled.
Casey and I watched a couple Christmas movies then hit the hay.
Our lovely bare tree this year.
I didn't feel like putting up the fight with Della playing with the ornaments.
Christmas morning!
The wrapping paper aftermath.
