Family Camping

Boy chores verses girl chores to prepare for camping are quite different!

I would much rather be in the cool kitchen making treats
over slaving in the sun loading the trailer!

I have a love/hate relationship with camping.
It's all I ever did for a vacation growing up.
Don't get me wrong, I loved it!
I didn't know any different, and it was always looked forward to!
Endless hours of adventures with cousins.

After years of camping in tents as a child, teenager and even adult
for various church activities, it was losing its luster!

It is SO much work and preparation before, during and after.

I have come to a point that if Casey is taking time off of work, I don't want
it spent in a dusty, hot forest in Arizona!

I do it for the kids.
They need to experience camping in their lives.
However, its a heck of a lot cushier than I ever had!!
Never did we have quads to ride and a flushing toilet!
Spoiled children.
They are lucky they have a high maintenance, mother!

Once I am there and settled, good times are had.
It is enjoyable, and
I am grateful we made the effort!

Camp headquarters where all of the eating, game playing, and chatting happen!

I think Rusty spent most of his days driving
kids back and forth on his quad!

The adult paparazzi had me laughing!

Walks to the pond with a gaggle of children.

Lots of fairy houses in trees.

Traditional corn hole tourney!
I think Craig and Rusty took home the gold!

Huddled around the phone after Abbey screamed
"TRUMP WAS JUST SHOT AT!"

Smores and glow stick party!

I love that we can all get groovy at the drop of a good beat!
Good thing nobody was camping around us!

I had a good laugh at at the scene of breakfast the next morning.
Signs of a good rager of the night before!
More sugar, some hair of the dog...
