Slow-ish September

Casey had a couple of weeks that weren't super busy.
Which meant projects for our houses got done!

They went to take out an old chicken coop in the new house and found
a litter of bunnies underneath it!

Ricky took one home:)

We have waited years to get this path on the side of our house
sloped for easier parking.
Rusty is pumped to not have to hop the curb!

And no picture, but we go the turf in our backyard redone!

This was from Summer, but I'll add it here.
Fenn Rogers, a building contractor that Caseys does a lot of work for,
made a cool video for their instagram page.

He was highlighting a home they started out in Scottsdale, and it was of
the concrete being poured!

This home was MASSIVE.
In fact, I think it was a 2 day pour just for the foundation.

I took a screen shot of Rusty in the background.
I am naive and forget how exhausting concrete work is.
Especially in the brutal, summer sun.

I am proud of my hard working boys!

I had been wanting to try this new bakery  that has been super popular.

Sable.

I guess it is just like real pastries from France.
The young owner worked in Europe, then moved back to the states started his own business.
With a French accent and all:)
Pretty sure it's fake, lol!
But the instagram ladies eat it up!

It is so popular that people will go wait in line at 4am!

No, thank you.

I was in the downtown area and noticed that there wasn't even a line!

It was bloody hot, which probably helped me out.
And close to closing, which meant they were sold out of a lot of options.

It was fun trying what was left!

Mesa High's annual cemetery clean up early on Saturday morning!
Rusty went with the golf and baseball team.

At the end they sit around this headstone and listen to the Zedo brothers.

Funny how I went to Mesa High but never really heard the story of Zedo Ishikawa.

Lane and Rusty have heard the story of the "legacy student" so many times, and we are still
not sure why he had such an influence.
(Sorry, Grandma Ann, if you are reading this!)

He was a football player at Mesa High.
He died of an accidental shooting, and his last words were "Carry On".

Lindi got her braces off!
She is the first one to have them completely done before high school!

More golf for Rusty!

He was the club chauffeur for all of his friends since they can't drive yet.

He played some good golf,  his best match so far!
3 over isn't bad!

His strawberry limeade from Sonic for good luck:)

Rusty took some of his friends to the lake.

Sunday dinner gang.

Peach season!!
A box like this brings so much happiness!
