Fall in a nut shell

Schnepf Farms with my family!
In my opinion, overpriced and over crowded.
I was scratching my eyes out for the next 2
days from the dust cloud that loomed over the farm.
The common quote for the night was:
(insert pitiful cough) I think I have the black lung, Pop.
BUT, the kids loved it!

You can never get a picture with everybody looking.

The spooky train ride had a wait longer than splash mountain during peak season so we hopped on the hay ride which had a zero line. We even stayed on and rode it twice in a row.

This was around the 10th picture of trying to get one with all of their eyes open.
Lindi was apparently done and  flashed me the peace sign.

Then she gave me thumbs up for a good attempt.

We carved pumpkins for the first time ever.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
It was Lindi's first Halloween. She looked darling in her authentic mu mu
straight from Hawaii that aunt Marcie brought back from her honeymoon.
I borrowed my moms mu mu that she has had for 20 years and Casey got a rockin aloha shirt from Goodwill!
The boys recycled costumes from past years so it was a pretty cheap dress up year for us. Score!!!

We went to Papa and Grammy's to see cousins and eat yummy hamburger's and hot dog's they hand out to trick or treaters every year.

and then to Grandma and Grandpas house.
Their neighbors always have a fun Halloween carnival going on.
It's always a night where they go to bed at 10 and hopped up on sugar.
Thank goodness next year it lands on a Friday!

Weekend get-away with the hubby!

I had a 30th birthday and my gift was a weekend get-away to Sedona!
It had been 4 years since Casey and had snuck away with just the 2 of us.
Sadly I have never been to Sedona so I was pumped!

We ended up staying in Flagstaff but drove into Sedona for a jeep tour.
Here was our posy for the three hour tour.
Let me tell ya, they pack you in!
Our tour guide was a hoot.
You know those guys who drive the jungle cruise at Disneyland?
Well times them by 5 and you have our tour guide.
The man talked pretty much every second up and back down the mountain.
But luckily he was interesting and fun to listen to.
There were 3 other guys from Europe who were on a business trip in Chandler. They drove up for their day off. One from London, Austria and I think Germany? Some computer business.
And then 2 girls and us.

The funniest was when our tour guide was talking about desert wildlife and asked our group if any of us has ever seen a scorpion. Ha!
When we said we have them in our house and that I have been stung twice they all gasped in horror.
Only in Arizona I guess.

At the top of the mountain.
I am not a scenic person and mountains and sunsets really don't captivate me but
Sedona really is beautiful.

Our jeep, PeeWee

Besides our jeep tour we thoroughly  enjoyed sleeping in, eating ice cream late at night while watching tv that wasn't Doc Mcstuffins or Jake and the never land pirates. And the best was saved for last.
The brunch buffet at the Little America hotel that we stayed at.
YUMMMMM:)

Mr. & Mrs Figueroa

Marcie got married back in September.
First we needed to have a bridal shower!
Stephanie drove in from NM (even after having a baby 2 weeks prior)
and together we threw the best bridal shower of the century!

Food was our main focus because lets face it, it's key to a good shower!
Steph and I cooked/ baked our buns off.
Food was flying off the platters and bowls and during the whole shower I was in the kitchen
replenishing the goods.

Afterwards we took the scraps of leftovers to my moms for the boys to enjoy and that's
when I got to meet Olive for the first time!
I was so giddy I literally jumped up and down when I saw them pulling up into the garage.

I got to help with the prep work for the wedding which included doing Marcie's hair.
We did it 3 different times and this was the second round right before the bridal shoots.

My backyard became the glittering of the vases grounds.
2 months later there is still glitter back there!

This little thing was our helper girl.
She was so good to sit in that bumbo and watch us busy bees run around
all week.

The day finally arrived!

 It sure was a party!
Great food:
Chicken fajitas with all the toppings,
Bosa donuts with 3 flavors of milk to drink along with it.
Mexican fruit popsicles and soda.

The DJ was awesome and we danced for a good hour straight if not more!

And lucky Casey got to drive the get-away vehicle home from the airport, ha!
