My mom treated us girls to the ballet!
It was a Cinderella performance this year.
I felt like we were in line to meet the princesses at Disneyland.
Even though I am not huge on the ballet, it was neat to watch!
Plus, dinner and ice cream are always included when doing
a girls night out:)
Most nights all of the neighbors congregate out front to enjoy the weather and watch the kids play.
One of the Rudd kids had a birthday so they brought out the left over cake to share.
They hardly touched the triple layer, triple chocolate cake.
After it had been dished out to the rest of us, the grown ups were talking when I
realized Della had been going around to unsupervised plates and finishing them off!
This was a super rich cake and my stomach instantly started aching for hers.
Heavens knows how much she ate of it.
All I know is that I was up ALL NIGHT with a sad baby with a hurting tummy and
lots of sugar in her system!
Spring Sing time once again for the kiddo's!
Rusty wanted to wear his suit.
He doesn't even like wearing it to church, so I figured he was trying to impress somebody.
(he is on the second row, left-ish.)
I started laughing when I saw a handful of girls in all white dresses.
Hmm, hard to tell who was recently baptized!
Then I remembered Rusty and his suit... must be an 8 year old thing:)
Lane got placed in the worst spot for taking pictures!
Knowing him, he probably did it on purpose.
Seriously though, I tried switching seats and I could not get a shot of him!
He is top row, to the left of the tall kid with glasses and blue, plaid shirt.
Grandma is always kind to come and support!
Last day of preschool, say whaa?
I remember dropping her off for her first day of preschool thinking, before
I know it, she'll be in Kindergarten.
I was right, it flew by WAY too fast!
They don't do a preschool graduation like most.
For some reason I really love that they don't.
I don't know why.
Maybe because she would have way more fun doing a water day
than prance around in a paper graduation cap?
She couldn't count down the days fast enough until their water party.
This little one will be taking her preschool spot before I know it!
It's the best when they color coordinate without me planning it.
Swimming lessons were in full force.
She can't swim by herself, but it was amazing to see her progress
and watch it started clicking for her.
Della in a swimsuit is probably one of my favorite things.
They have so many cute ones to choose from for this age.
I wanted to buy one for every day of the Summer!
Those blue eyes...
I had 6 of my Young Women graduate from high school.
I wanted to give them something fun, but we all know cash is the best gift!
Especially for teenagers!
I remember my Aunt Mary Ann giving me money when I graduated
in a cute pot with the money folded like flowers.
If I still remember that from 18 years ago, it must be a good gift.
It was a huge project.
I was regretting not using the gift card option.
I was quickly reminded why I hung up my DIY apron a long time ago.
Once the mess was cleaned up, I stepped back and was pretty proud of my
creations!
The Mesa High pots turned out to be my favorites.
I forgot I had gold glitter letter stickers that I added last minute.
In the meantime, my kitchen took a beating!
1 year old's + busy mom not giving attention = disaster city.
The last day of school finally arrived!
I have started to decorate the kitchen all festive for them to wake up to.
Plus it ends up being my Summer decorations. Win, win!
I did the same point system from last year.
They earn points then turn them in for different rewards.
The baskets are worth different values.
Rusty was set on getting 100 points for a trip to KTR!
He earned it in 1 week!
I made a more exciting breakfast than the usual Eggo waffles.
Chocolate crepes, hash browns, fruit and juice!
How do parents make a deluxe breakfast everyday?
She enjoyed every bit of her meal, like always!
Getting on the bus for the last time as 2nd and 4th graders!
Rusty brought this mini me replica home that he drew on the first day of school.
I love his mohawk!
The following morning I walked out from my bedroom to this scene.
Summer in full swing...tv watching with goggles or in a box:)
We still love having our pool. If they start to complain that they are bored, I say go for a swim! It is far from fancy, but a huge step up from the cattle tank I spent all of my Summer days in as a child. The bazillion towels hanging on the fence cracks me up. They think they need a new one every time they swim. They don't even need towels! This is AZ. You get zapped dry the second you get out! I'm pretty sure I never washed those towels and they are still crusted on the pool fence!
I was out front with the girls and noticed the cotton candy sunset. It was nearing 8pm and not even dark yet. I love me some lazy Summer nights. No hurry to get baths done and in bed for school the next day.
Hot or not, they were playing so sweet together with this train set.
These 2 are the best friend-emies!
They can sure push each others buttons.
Or love the heck out of each other.
Memorial Day at the cemetery!
It was almost Grandpa's one year mark of his passing.
I appreciate Matta's and their willingness to stay open on a holiday:)
Mexican food for lunch then swimming afterwards!
Where was Casey during all of this?
At Girls Camp! It was a ward year. They stayed in a cabin up in Alpine.
My friend was there so I loved getting texts of all the things he refuses to do at home but will do for the youth girls.
HE LINE DANCED!
Not in a million years would he do this for me.
No more excuses from him.
I have proof he CAN do it!
And this one made me LOL!
Coloring during a break.
