Summer odds and ends

Welp, when you loose your hard drive to your computer you get WAY backed
up on blogging!! Here is my attempt at catching up!

The Barton's invited us and the Yamamoto's to a day at the lake!
They rented jet ski's and boy, it was a fun filled day!
I am a water girl.
I LOVE the sun and this was a day in paradise for me.
We left early, around 6am and stayed until about 4pm.
We found a perfect grassy, shaded area on the "beach" of Canyon lake to set up camp.
We took turns tubing behind the jet ski's and relaxing in the big blow up couch.
We ate and played, and swam and ate, and relaxed and ate... you get the picture:)

Before we got all wet, I had Misty take our family picture with her nice camera.
It ended up being our Christmas card picture!

This girl has been the busiest child out of the 3.
For some reason she thinks its super fun to dump out her hair rubber bands...
every flipping day!
I made a mental note to stop buying the package of 1,000!!!

We met up with my seeesters and my mom to try the new
hopping breakfast joint in downtown Gilbert, Snooze!
It was good, not super spectacular.
But I'll eat out anywhere if I don't have to cook:)
Lindi sure loved those blueberry pancakes.
My shirt took one for the team.

I took the kids to our old neighborhood pool for variety.
They love to run then jump over that step.
Boys and their never ending energy!!

Besides being a stinker, she sure has an imagination!
I caught her taking her babies to the movies.
I love the set up and how she got all dressed up with her high heels on.
She makes life fun.

And this, lol!!!!!
Besides being a stinker and having a wild imagination,
she is an observer!!
I had to pee in a cup for my yearly exam (TMI?:/)
She took note and just HAD to follow suite.
Learning the ropes early!

Scarlett was blessed!
Anything having to do with baby Scarlett we are all over.

Somehow these 2 get a photo shoot anywhere we go!

Swimming all the way through September!
After school the neighbor kids all liked to take a dip:)

Kid soup:)

Lane played Fall baseball for the first time.
Sadly I don't have any pictures of him playing, just these cute kiddos who
came to cheer him on!

Grammy and Papa had a fun water day in their backyard.
They rented this huge blowup slide and had pizza and ice cream!

It was all calm and dandy until the big boys decided to show up on the playground
(Casey and Travis).
Then somehow it became a game of who could kick the person down the slide!
See Peyton going down backwards?!
It was not for the weak and no mercy was shown!

Here I am getting tossed down

At one point there were so many of us at the top trying to tackle them, the slide almost tipped over!

And this is epic, both Sunni and I getting thrown down at the same time!
Haha, our stomachs hurt from laughing so hard!

We planned a little get- a- way to a rodeo in Tucson with Sunni and Travis.
We picked up some snacks to eat on the drive.
I think we were worried we would starve, lol!

We stayed at the J.W. Marriot.
It was nice!!
We got a suite with a living room so we could stay up and play
games at night.
We hurried and changed into our swim suits and went swimming for a couple of hours.
Then showered and headed to dinner before the rodeo.
We went to Flemming's.
Holy yuuuummm!
I've never had a steak that was so good in my life.

The rodeo was a blast!
It was my first time at a legit rodeo.
I loved the clown that would dance around and interact with the audience.
We hit up a homemade ice cram parlor afterward then headed back to the hotel for games until 2am!

We slept in, ordered room service for breakfast and played some more games.
The plan was to go home that afternoon, but we weren't ready to leave!
I text Alison who was babysitting for us to see if we could stay another night, she said no problem.
Yay!
We went and saw a movie, then had dinner and played more games.
It was a much needed vacation, without kids!!

We were babysitting Olive Bo- Bolive one day.
Usually these 2 play great, which they did.
But they were being a little too quiet  so I went to check on them.
When I came upon this, I gasped.
Not only was conditioner slathered all over Olive head to toe, but they smeared the whole
shower! I had a good chuckle, sent some pictures to Stephanie, and cleaned her all up.

Not 30 minutes later did they get quiet again.
This time it was the bathtub with the body wash!
I wish twins upon no one!!

School time!

Another year of school approached way to quick!
3rd grade and Kindergarten.
I knew who Rusty was going to have for a teacher since there is only
one half day class.
I didn't know who Lanes teacher was going to be.
Mrs. Shobe.
I didn't know her but she called the day before meet the teacher saying how
excited she was to meet us.
That gave her a plus mark instantly!
When we walked in she acted as if she knew us.
Then asked what Goodman's we belonged to.
Come to find out she is Casey's mom's  good friend!!
She said she has seen us before in Christmas cards.
What a fun connection and what a wonderful teacher she has been!

I didn't get a picture of Ms. Stradling.
She was busy meeting with 2 Kindergarten classes worth of parents!

I am posting this as documentation of Casey school shopping with us for the
first time ever!
And most likely it will be his last.
He about heaved over when it was time to pay!
Mind you this included their new school clothes, backpacks, lunch boxes and supplies.
Man, school is expensive!
I also love how that girl is checking out Casey's rear, LOL!!

Getting the traditional first day of school pictures.
I love how he doesn't fight me on this anymore.
Just knows its coming and grits his teeth.

Rusty goes to afternoon, half day so he got to go to my orthodontics appointment
with me instead of boarding the bus with Lane.

Ready to rock N Roll!
It's funny, he didn't cry the first day at all.
But he did the second day!
And the third.
Finally he told me what was upsetting him.
"you just have to sit at your desk a lot and write with pencils".
Ya, preschool days are over bud!!
Welcome to big kid school.

Coming home on the bus.
After watching Lane go and come on the bus for 3 years
he finally go to experience it himself!

I was ambitious and had homemade chocolate chip cookies
waiting for them to eat as an after school snack!

They did homework as they chatted about their big first day:)

And while the boys were away, this cute girl ditched her diapers for some
Anna and Elsa underwear!!!

She was my easiest trainee yet!!

Leading up to the dreaded first day of school!

We had many a sleep overs this summer with cousins!
One morning I couldn't resist taking a picture of breakfast
with these 4 cute, shirtless boys!
That's pretty much how they were dressed the whole time, must be a
macho boy thing:)

Lindi and I coordinate on Sundays, a lot!
Being matchy, matchy is so fun.
Casey gave me this skirt for my birthday, Amber (aka bizzy) couldn't resist
making a matching one for Lindi to wear.
Its my favorite set by far!!

Her cheesy smile...!!!

Her favorite nursery teachers were leaving her to go to
the singles ward, boo hoo!
It was a sad day. And it only took a month for her
to adjust to her new teachers.

There was a group of us gals from my ward that
got together Monday night (after FHE,), to watch the Bachelorette!
It was a crazy season.
And ended up disliking Kaitlin in the end.
But a good excuse to have some girl time!
On the last episode Angela went all out!

I got my BRACES OFF!!!
19 months later and I am a happy girl!

Bye, bye yucky power chain!

This was a classic.
For Jefferson's birthday we got pedicures and went to RA for sushi!
It was Ryker's first pedi.
Not so sure he was sold on it, or the sushi.
But I thought it was great!!
Thanks for having a birthday Jefferson so I could get pampered myself!

Family scripture reading never works when we pile on the bed.

We had a fun date night with Travis and Sunni.
We piled in their RZR and rode all around 4 peaks!
The engine over heated 1 minute into the drive.
Travis ran back to the truck and drove to the nearest gas station to get some
oil. We didn't know if that was the problem so we were crossing our fingers our
night wasn't going down the tubes.
Luckily it worked and we were off!
We drove all the way to the top and back down the other side.
We ate dinner at a funky little restaurant called the Butchers Hook.
It was definitely a sketchy place, but delicious!
It reminded me a lot of the Beeline Café in Payson, smell and all:)
We hopped back in the RZR and drove back up to the top of 4 peaks
and back down to the truck.

I went to check on her before going to bed.
Time for some bigger jammies!!
I looked at the size the next morning.
12-18 months, oops!
I got her 4T the next day, lol!

Lane got his wolf in cub scouts!
To receive his award, he had to "wolf" down a whipped cream pie.
