Celebrate Good Times!

We celebrated a lot of fun things this past weekend. We enjoyed spending time with all of our families yesterday for Fathers Day. Lane and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful men in our lives.

We LOVE these guys because:

... Casey is the best husband and father ever! He let's us control the remote, does all the projects around the house with out being asked, gives the best back tickles, he eats my concoctions I call dinner and devotes all his free time to us, I could go on and on!!
...my dad makes the best breakfast burritos with homemade green salsa (well everything he makes is amazing), he is the best handyman and can fix anything, will drop everything to go help anybody out, has the best laugh ever, hahaha!

...Casey's dad makes a killer Sunday lunch and homemade ice cream, can grow anything in his garden, loves his grandchildren like no other, and serves others unconditionally.

We also celebrated my Grandma Ann's birthday on Friday night with all the Udall girls. We partied at Mi Amigos for dinner then played games and ate dessert at my grandmas house afterwards. It is so fun getting all of us girls together and having some good laughs.

Casey and I are grateful for these grandparents because they let us live in there house while they were on there mission basically for free. As newlyweds that is a huge blessing. Even when they came back they let us live in the little apartment attatched to there house for another year. We love them so much. Happy birthday Grandma!

Season Opener

We are so lucky to have my parents super fun swimming pool to hang out in all summer long. I know people have been swimming since the beginning of May, but I have a hard time getting in unless the water is a toasty 80 degrees. It finally hit that mark so yesterday Lane and I made a day of it. My cousin Leah came over with her 2 kids to swim and Casey joined us after work along with my sisters friends and Craig who swam a total of 4 different times. We were in the pool for 5 hrs. Let's just say Lane is a very brown boy now! I love the summer and living in my swimsuit, going on Sonic runs for slush's and corndogs, having the sun go down at 8 o'clock and having no schedule what so ever!

QT

Since the weather had been so nice this past week, we decided to hit up a quick trip to the dunes for Memorial Day. You can call us crazy for sure, but for May the weather was actually quite enjoyable. We had fun with Casey's cousins Britton and his wife Diana, Garrett and my sis Marcie. Lane was loving being outside all day, food galore, and all the vroom vrooms that would go by.

Lane already tanked up on sugar at 6 in the morning. This is his FAVORITE song and jams to it every time it comes on the radio.

a SWEET week

Would you call us obsessed yet since we have been to Sprinkles

not once...

not twice...
but yes THREE times

this past week?!

What can I say except this place is amazing!

Now I need some help. Since I have been eating all these cupcakes, I need to run some major miles. When I run I HAVE to have music blaring in my ears to keep me motivated and entertained. I am sick of all the songs on my i pod and need some good new ones to work out to. I am into all genres so can anyone give me some suggestions please ?! Thanks!

Little Laners

Lane is almost 18 months old. This little guy keeps us on our toes and laughing constantly. I really am enjoying this stage of life he is in. He is getting too smart for his own britches though! He is definitely a routine boy. He loves eggo waffles for breakfast(comes from my side of the family) and watching Sesame Street. That show crackes me up and I am sad to admit it but I like watching it with him. I guess they are trying to keep the kids up with the rest of the world because this past week they have had appearances by Destiny's Child shaking there booty with Grover and Elmo, Donald Grump and James Blunt played his guitar singing A Triangle instead of You're Beautiful. Gotta love it. Here are some fun pictures of Lane and what he has been up to.

This is his pose face for pictures and yes he is eating pudding for breakfast. I am a push over in the mornings.
Lane loves vroom vrooms. Anytime before we get in the car or take out the trash he HAS to get on the quad and go for a "ride". He must take after his dad.Lane loves to play at my parents house every Friday while I go to work. Since he is the only grandchild he gets spoiled rotten by everybody. His latest new toy. Casey had a hard time with this, I thinks it is so cute. At least I bought a baby with blue clothes.

Most babies have a pacifier or cute blanket they are attached to. Well Lanes is that green pair of pants he's holding. I have no idea how he got so attached to it?! He will not go anywhere without them. He sleeps, eats and plays with that thing on his hip. He knows he's not supposed to have them in the bathtub but has managed to get in without me seeing a few times. He also has a red long sleeve shirt that is pretty equal to the green pants too. What a kid!

One Lucky Girl

How did I get so lucky to be married to this stud muffin for 4 wonderful years today?!

Casey loved taking me to the dunes while we were dating. It is still one of your favorite things to do together.

On our honeymoon.

Thanks for loving me and making me the happiest girl on the earth! Or I should say thanks for putting up with me this long!

She's Back!

We are excited to have Melinda home from her mission from Orlando Florida! We missed her so much while she was away. This was the first time Lane got to meet aunt Minda because he was born three days after she left... so close! Melinda is Casey's sister and is also the one who set us up on our blind date...the rest is history. We are in debt to her forever! We love her so much. Now the whole Goodman gang is back together again. Welcome home!!!

My Faves

I think it is fun and interesting to read peoples posts about their favorite things. I always need help with what's new, hip, cool or useful. So here are some of my obsessions I have going on right now. Maui Melon Mint gum. I like it because it has more mint than fruit flavor so it feels like it is still freshening. It also makes little popping noises in your mouth when you chew...love that!Thank goodness for these yummy cucumber and green tea smelling wipes! My purse smells like Bath and Body Works inside I can smell this in Lanes hair all day long. I know the orginal body wash scent is hard to beat but I just love this!
I think I wear my havaianas everyday. Well actually I stole them out of my sisters closet(sorry Marcie) last summer and never gave them back. I guess I will get my own this summer

You may call me a nerd but I absolutely love this movie. If you like instrumental music then you need to get the soundtrack. I have it in my car right now.

Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce... heaven in a bottle. We have a year supply stocked in our pantry in case of a crisis.
Here is a yummy recipe if you don't want to use the bottled stuff
Sweet Pork Meat (like Cafe Rio/Costa Vida)
2 lb porkloin roast
1 c brown sugar
1/4 ketchup
1/2 stick butter (melted)
can of coke or Dr. Pepper
-in crock pot cook roast with about 2 -3 c. water on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 6-8 hours
-in mixing bowl combine all other ingredients
-after roast is cooked drain water and shread meat.
-Pour sauce over meat and let sit for about 20 - 30 minutes
-Use meat in tortillas, buns, or however you like!
