Summer Reality

Tell me...

...it's Summer...

...without telling me...

...it's Summer.

We love when dad wants a treat after work!

Nothing like walking into a dentist appointment to see one of your best friends
in the waiting room!

We had to take a selfie in front of Stephanie and sent it to her!

It was my birthday!!
I decided to celebrate the same way I did when I was little.
At Sunsplash!

It was the BEST!

I've learned I like Sunsplash at the end of Summer.
The water is still too cold for me in June.

The girls each brought a friend and Rusty had friends somewhere.

Casey even surprised me and showed up half way.
That is a true gift as he easily passes on waterpark days.

My parents stopped by real quick to say Happy Birthday.
Of course she had us pose on the couch for a family picture!

Lake day with the neighbor girls!

I was organizing some things for Lane.
I was going through his backpack that had been sitting on the floor untouched for 2 months.

I pulled out a handful of envelopes.
Which were ALL of his friends graduation announcements!!

I was wondering why I wasn't getting any in the mail!!

I walked out with them in my hand dumbfounded.
All he could say was, oh ya, sorry.

We also spend one day at Stapley pool from open to close each Summer!
Nothing like squeezing it in the last week it was open for the season!

Country Life

We spent the days living the slow life!

Church.
Which almost felt like home since our old Stake President also
has a house in the ranch by us!
We love the Westergards!

We would go to my parents house a lot.
They would ride skitters down the hill for HOURS!

And find any way to take the quads around, even if that meant dropping off the trash!

Grandpa showing them how to use sling shots, or spot some type of vermin
to shoot at.

Horseback riding!

I was secretly sweating bullets.

I don't jive with animals.
Especially big ones.
That you have to sit on.

There is no guarantee they will do what you tell them to do!

They begged and begged.
So I caved.

Those smiles.

Some were gone once they hoisted themselves onto the saddle.
It's a lot higher up than you think!

Not Della.
So was loving every second of it.
She is a true animal lover.
Almost like its therapy for her.

She has never been on a horse, but she was a natural!
Even the way she just sat there.

The rest of us were stiff as a board!

Lindi's horse wanted its picture taken!

Off we went!

I don't remember any other horses name besides Rusty's.

We laughed so hard when we heard it was Trump!

It was by far the biggest horse!

Traditional swing picture whenever we come up here!

And the deer grazing in the pasture.

We love our Wyoming stays!

Boujee Day

Finally, a chill morning!

These boys were not mad about sleeping in and being lazy!

Twist my arm to sit in the hot springs!

Astoria is one of my favorites.
Unfortunately there was a miscommunication, and only half of us
had tickets to enter.

They were already full to capacity, and not willing to budge.

The boys took one for the team and went to lunch while the ladies and Tanner
soaked our worries away!

My dad said we could tour the infamous Hall "cabin" we have heard
so much about over the past few years.

My parents go twice a year for retreats they hold for their employers.

Its about 20 minutes away.

We were pumped to finally see the sweet digs in person!

It truly was insane.
The more you wandered, the more your jaw dropped.
The Halls have 5 or 6 children.
Each child is married with their own children.
They all live in Idaho Falls.

Even though each child is well off and have their own personal cabins close by,
this is where they come to hang out as a family in the Summertime.
Much like having a family cabin in Showlow.
It is not a rental, just a space to use as a family.

The table is as long as my house!

Downstairs is the bowling alley, golf simulator, gym, theater room, huge garage for
all of the outdoor toys like snowmobiles and quads.

Outside was its own oasis.

A pond wrapping in all directions of the yard.

A full on golf resort.
Not in the community, but IN its own yard!

The boys up there hitting to their hearts content!

The house in on an airstrip.
This is their airplane hanger.
It also has a massive sports court and a captains quarters for their personal
pilot to stay in if needs be.

There were countless bedrooms and bathrooms that were decorated
in the fanciest of fancies.

Why not have a leather fridge with gold studs!

Feeling like part of the rich and famous makes you jump for joy, lol!

After this a car full headed the airport for a late flight home.
Casey and Lane being 2 of them.

I went back with the other kids for an extended stay.
I must be getting old, Arizona heat is brutal.
I was trying to avoid home for as long as possible!
