I swear all birds in America confuse our house as an airport. About once every other month I will hear a loud thud on our back window because a bird has smacked right into it. It's not like my windows are sparkling clean like on the Windex commercials or else I might be ok with the fact that these ugly, nasty creatures have mistaken my house as a landing strip! The worst was when one decided to fly right into my bedroom window one summer morning at 5am when Casey was out of town. It wasn't the best way to be woken up since I had been on edge all night with 911 on speed dial convinced that the boogie man was coming to get me( I hate being home alone!)
So as we were cleaning the house today, Casey hollered at me to come see something. After he positioned me at the right angle he asked if I could see anything on the window. I looked and looked and looked and then... I SAW IT and then screamed. You guys have to understand that birds CREEP me out to no end. If a bird comes on tv, I have to close my eyes. I can't support Goldberg and Osbourn because they have an eagle as there logo. So let's just say when Casey said "well I really know how greasy those things are now", I dry heaved.

That's so hilarious...the same thing happens at our house. We have this bay window and this past summer was the worst. The sad thing is two of them hit so hard they died. The other ones would be stunned for a minute just laying on the back porch and then eventually they'd hop away. Whenever I heard a thump, I would look at back and see another one. The word must have gotten out to birds to watch out for the window...or maybe they flew south to your house for the winter hehehe! Crazy birds!
Ok so maybe it is a family thing becasue I HATE BIRDS too!!! They scare me so bad. Oh Shelley that is gross and I would be barfing to!!!! Ryker is so excited to play tomorrow!!! Oh and My cell phone is broke so if you try to call or text I won't get it =(

that is SOOO funny Shelley... what's wrong with us Lindblom girls and not liking animals unless they're dead and cooking on the grill in the back yard? haha birds are disgusting I'll agree on that one.
funny! it's like the bird was still hanging out there or something...that print is so obviously a bird mark! that would have totally freaked me out in the middle of the night too!

Oh my nasty! I forgot you were afraid of birds- me, well I'm more afraid of fish. I was watching a show last night where a couple went scuba diving and were saying how cool it was to be next to all the fish and I was so grossed out! WHY would anyone want a fish to touch them! Very funny post. So I hear you're spending 10 days with the fam! I'm sure Casey is thrilled to live in the rat hole.:) You'll probably spend all your time just cleaning. Life with four younger brothers...
Oh, that is so funny! That happens at my parents house too. If you hate birds, you definately don't want to come over to our house. We think the lady in the condo above us feeds the birds, so there are tons of birds and we get to walk through all of their poop to get to our door! It's actually really quite irritating!
That is the funniest thing I've seen all day. Who would have guessed that birds would leave a big fat grease mark on a window. :)

That is freakin disgusting. Birds are just so dirty. A couple months ago when we went to my parents' house Jon pulled up to the sidewalk and ran over a bird that was in the gutter. It was SOOO gross. I made him pick it up and then suddenly freaked out cuz I thought he might get some disease from the bird. YUCK!
seriously, that is so gross! i would be totally creeped out too! Still, funny post though!
