I tried to get Lindi to model her new swim suit.
Deer in headlights look, what?
She is a Cindy Crawford in the making!
Swim lessons began.
Which meant I dreaded every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from noon-1.
Not because I had to sit outside in the hot heat.
A certain somebody would whine and cry, scream during her whole lesson!
She hated pretty much every second of it...the whole season!!
I went to girls camp!
It was a stake year, so that meant real camping.
We went up on the rim down the same road you take to get to Woods
Canyon Lake. It was the last week of May, first part of June.
Let me tell ya, we froze!
It was the year of crazy cold weather in May.
The camp ground attendant said there was snow on the ground the week before we came!
I had hand warmers in my pockets the whole time.
Lets back up to when we left.
We all met at my friends house that is 2 houses down from our new house (still in remodeling mode).
We had loaded the trailer, beautifully decorated the cars, and were about to pray.
I decided to run to the house to see the progress because I knew
they were starting to lay the tile in the kitchen and I wouldn't get to see it for a whole week.
When I walked in my heart stopped beating.
They had opened every box of tile (20 something boxes) and were laying
THE WRONG STUFF!! 2 whole rows worth.
I honestly didn't know what to do.
They workers laying it didn't know a lick of English.
I quickly yelled at them to stop!! They looked at me like I was crazy.
I tried to explain in my best Spanglish ( I was getting good and Mexican/English accents)
that it was NO BUENO!! WRONG COLOR!
You REALLY should have seen the looks on their faces once it registered.
The are you freaking kidding me, I have to pull up, scrape off glue, package up and
start all over kind of look.
I felt so bad for them!
I called Casey in a panic and told him to get here asap!
I had a car full of girls ready to go but couldn't leave the crisis.
Our contractor showed up the same time as Casey and I had no choice
but to have faith everything would be ok and the right stuff would be
installed when I got back. And it all worked out! I came home to beautiful
floors, just as I had envisioned. I guess Home Depot had the wrong skew numbers on
the boxes stating a different color. Dang Home Depot!
The theme was Wizard of Oz tied in with the scripture we are focusing on this year, D&C 4:2.
One day I brought up some lollipop trees to decorate and leave at other ward campsites as a
cute "service". It went along with the lollipop guild song.
The leaders chillaxing while the girls were off kayaking and canoeing.
The whole shebang!
We have the largest YW in the stake.
They are amazing girls and made camp a delight!
I heart our ward camp shirts.
We were lucky to have bizzysewing as our assistant camp director!
She whipped up these shirts that I wear all of the time.
Check out her website and order the cutest skirts she hand makes!
Swimming was a big part of summer!
We had fun inviting cousins over to swim and eat dinner on the tramp with.
The girl hates chocolate, NOT!:)
We got to have Ryder and Peyton spend the night while their parents
went to girls camp. Pogo passes came in handy and we hit up the IDEA museum.
It offered endless hours of fun and I was proud of myself I didn't loose a kid!
We hopped in the pool when Casey got home from work.
It's been a big perk to have this pool.
If the kids get bored I say go swimming, problem solved!
And with being married to the king of the Queen, you know the night must end with a treat:)
I guess it had been awhile because I caught Casey making out with his blizzard.
